Ted Cruz's and Marco Rubio's supporters have teamed up in Arkansas to pack the state delegation with individuals who'll turn against Donald Trump in a contested convention.
Since Rubio ended his presidential bid March 15, his network of party insiders has lined up behind Cruz to win delegates who'd vote for the Texas senator once they're no longer bound to Trump in a floor fight. Trump won Arkansas' GOP primary March 1 with 32.8 percent of the vote compared to Cruz's 30.5 percent and Rubio's 24.9 percent. But Cruz's canny operatives, with Rubio riding shotgun, is likely to thwart Trump in the delegate election.
Trump's organization is as sloppy in Arkansas as elsewhere, just as Cruz's is an efficient machine in state after state. This could ding the Donald, costing him as many as 25 delegates after a first inconclusive ballot. Cruz, who finished with 15 out of the available 40 delegates in primary voting, stands to gain all 16 Trump delegates and the 9 won by Rubio.

Excellent analysis!!!
I wouldn’t put lying ass canadian Rafael Cruz in charge of cleaning up the men’s head.
Maybe but it also exposes trump because he has a 22% delegate advantage which is not reflected in the votes.
I guess Trump can scratch Rubio from his VP list.
Cruz performs better w/ party insiders. Trump preforms better w/ voters."

The sorched earth policy of divide and conquer by Raphael Edward Cruz is going to lead to chaos down the road probably at the convention. There is a deep division that has formed in the conservative grassroots base and instead of healing it each day it grows worse. No doubt it drove some people away. Cruz is employing Obama tactics because he has no chance now to reach 1237. He is just destroying the party and dividing conservatives.
Well we know Trump is out of touch! That just proved it.
It is a good fit for both of them. Frankly Rubic did the one thing you cannot do, get caught doing something opposite of what your campaign was about. As a presidential candidate he cannot overcome the shumer mistake but as a VP he would not face it. He is a young face woman like, my wife for example and his story, true or not, is compelling. Lastly, he has no job come Jan 1st.
“Will be interesting to see where the Rubio Trump VP talk goes.”
There’s no way that I want that oily foam party weasel a heartbeat from the Presidency.
The Cheap Labor Express is determined that the citizens will not be allowed to elect a President who enforces the laws and borders.
We all know the Cruz we now know is a total loser.
“Lyin Cruz and his supporters are low life Thugs.”
Oh yeah! Cruz people are thugs because they work within the rules. Tell me jenny, what does that make Roger Stone, who said he was going to give the room numbers of all the delegates to Trump people?
If Trump can’t work through a nomination process, where the rules have been out there in the open for years, how can he go up against the Russians and Chinese?
Seems like he is bound and determined to defy the will of the voters. that’s gonna be an issue in November.
Cruz is starting to make rotted dog squeezins look good.
Cruz is beginning to look like just another chunk of DC scum.
Well, lets suppose your right about Colorado, but how do explain his losing delegates in North Dakota? Louisiana? Georgia? Arizona? Arkansas? and many others. Just because he would happen to be right on one thing doesn’t exclude all the other instances where he is out of his depth. I would much more accurately posit that Trump thought that because Romney and McCain won the popular vote, enough to win the majority of delegates needed to secure the nomination on the first ballot, that it would be easy. He has since found that conservatives rallying behind a single candidate and making this thing draw out longer than those others. Both of those earlier nominations were wrapping up right now, and this race is shaping up to either be finished on June 7th, or at the convention. This adds a second dimension to the race that he wasn’t preparing for, and one that he is slowly coming around to try and run. That being the race for delegates. Cruz, was looking at trying to beat Jeb, him being the establishment choice, which would have been a juggernought political machinery speaking, meaning that either Cruz would consolidate the field early and win out right against Jeb, or slog it out to the end where he was planning to fight for delegates. Either way, whether it was Trump, or Jeb the plan for victory was the same and he has been working for that goal since march last year, if not before.
Since I have been pushing for a return to 1861 for awhile, I guess the GOP will lose big in the coming national elections because Trump will either go third party or be on the outside of the GOP tent pissing in. After a Dem sweep, the country goes over the edge as the producers finally toss in the towel supporting the leaches and the break up begins in earnest. Jefferson said a little revolution every once in a while is a good thing.
What's astonishing is that the Republicans had the election in the bag two months ago.
All the GOPe had to do was hold its nose and support Trump, like they tell us peasants to do every four years when they stick in their latest Rino loser.
They were worried that Trump MIGHT dry up the river of stolen taxpayer money, and ruin the non-stop Washington DC orgy.
The final mask has been ripped off, and we can thank Donald Trump for that.
ND delegates are unbound Trump won the straw poll here.
LOL! It isn't the "Cruz Machine" -- it is the GOPe Machine working to grab delegates for Cruz, using bribes, threats and anything else that works. Hilarious how the enemedia keep spinning the "superior ground game" canard.
