The St. Louis County Republican Caucus was held today at the Missouri River Township Caucus at the Westminster Christian Academy – near highways 40 and 270 this afternoon.
Lloyd Sloan was at the conference today.
Here is his firsthand account:
There were two slates that were voted on today at the convention. One was called “Cruz” and the other “Trump.” So there was no confusion there. The vote took place by a public count. It’s when there is a standing vote and everybody is counted off. It is pretty above board. The vote was tied, 27-27. But a few people in the center of the room did not vote. One guy got up and voted for Trump. So Trump won the standing vote.
I proposed a motion to combine the two slates. The chair chose to ignore my motion. It was seconded but the chair, Mark Dunn, decided to ignore the motion.
At that point the chair entertained a motion to do a secret ballot because he was a Cruzer and the wrong guy won. The motion was presented by the head of the Cruz delegation who put together and submitted the Cruz slate. It was seconded and voted on.
And, surprise! Cruz won the secret ballot!
At that point I led a small group of Trump people from the room, saying, “You wanted a divided party. You got one.”
The delegates plan to contest the results. We are collecting evidence to show what exactly happened.
I saw what I saw. I walked out. It was highly irregular.
Ted Cruz lost Missouri to Donald Trump.

And once again, we learn that hypocrisy is one of the cardinal virtues of Cruztianity.

It is stealing because they are NOT playing by the rules. They are CHEATING.
Lyin, cheatin, Ted, what a guy. Traits everyone should want in their president. (sarc, for the cruzers who might not get it)

The rules were NOT followed. They CHEATED until Cruz won.

These are the RNC's rules. Their own rules. So, how does Cruz get delegates that are BOUND to another candidate by the party's own rules?

The above link is to a rather long (but interesting) article after the failed Romney campaign. The writer blames much of it on the Republican nomination process that we have now that slogs on for so long making the nominee bruised, bloody and broke by the time of the REAL campaign.
He argues going back to the pre-1972(?) way of nominating Republicans which was via caucus type elections - and getting an early consensus on the nominee.
Can’t keep up?
Trump has won more than TWICE the states Cruz has. Donald has gotten MILLIONS of more votes than Ted. Trump has an insurmountable lead in delegates. Cruz can’t win even with cheating.
Ted had a PATHETIC showing in his home state. After Ted loses to Trump he will likely lose to his primary challenger for his Senate seat. We won’t have lyin, cheatin, Ted to kick around anymore.
No, just when the rules aren’t followed and Cruzers STEAL delegates by CHEATING.
Not fair! Cruz doesn’t play by the rules. He should get a license to CHEAT.

Yes he can. On subsequent ballots candidates make deals with their delegations (delegates). You don’t think that the governor of Ohio won’t have sway over how his delegation votes on subsequent ballots?
Cruzers STEALING delegates has been in the news for weeks.
Ted would have any chance to win in November.

This long drawn out garbage also gives entirely too much power to the media and the parties, and not to the voters.
