CONFIRMED: Cruz Camp Stealing Trump Delegates from States Trump Won (VIDEO)

Townhall reporter Guy Benson today admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won.

The Ted Cruz campaign is running Cruz supporters as Trump delegates in states that Trump won. That way they can steal the nomination from Trump in Cleveland although they’ve only won a fraction of the states Trump has won.

Guy Benson: This has been percolating for several months. He has a very sharp legal team that know the rules inside and out in a way the Trump campaign clearly does not. It’s not just Louisiana. And it’s not just finagling to just get Rubio delegates or unbound delegates. What they’re also doing is getting people elected as Trump delegates who are not, in fact, Trump loyalists. So they would be bound to Donald Trump on the first ballot only. After which, although they are technically Trump delegates, they’ve been sort of put in place to jump.

And these are the same people who call Trump supporters ‘morons’ one day and beg them to support Ted Cruz the next.

Y’all talk about “stealing” the convention. The convention is the delegates. The Party has a huge advantage in choosing delegates loyal to the party. It’s their process. Every delegate, however bound, actually committed to supporting Trump or Cruz instead of a convention insert is one less opportunity for that to happen.

Yawn. The kenyan got 65 million votes. Good luck finding enough “delegates” to beat Hillary in the general without Trumpers.

Cruz would not make a good president.

And he doesn't have the support nationwide to beat Hillary. Especially when her campaign is sure to cheat their arses off.

So do you also thik the electoral college violates the sanctity of voting citizens ?

Irrelevant. The electoral college delegates are bound and cannot change their votes. There is also only one round of voting in the electoral college.

Try again.

How any consecutive can support this creep is beyond me. It’s disgusting what’s happening here but thank you Donald Trump for exposing it.

To Cruzbots, integrity and honesty were left by the side of the road in Iowa.

If the shoe was on the other foot they would be outraged.

You're absolutely right. It is perfectly within the GOP rulebook.

But, you'd better ask yourself. If you win the nomination this way, when you ran against Trump and lost the majority of the states and the majority of the popular vote, what kind of support do you think you'll be able to muster going into the general?

Do you think all the Trump support is going to flip over to Cruz, particularly if he back-doors his way into the nomination?

I’d say that violating the will of the voters is within the RNC rules but is an a**hole move.

Great point. It also makes turnabout fair play. The party abandons us, we abandon the party.

If Trump were pulling this off you’d all be crowing about it and laughing at that “dummy” Cruz who just got pantsed by Big Daddy.

But this is how it works:

I have put the hours in at the local and county level. I am a state delegate. I will be directly part of the process to choose the 2 Cruz and 1 Trump national delegates from my congressional district.

You’ve opined about your views here. So have I. The difference is that I’ve done the work to ACT on my point of view, from a delegate strategy position.

In fact, I’m attending a meeting today where this is the very subject of conversation, how to strategize the delegate choices that I can influence. No, it’s not with the Cruz campaign.

The real reason why John Kasich stays in is because if he drops out then all 66 Delegates in Ohio will go to the runner up which is Trump.

I had to go read up a little, but this is incorrect. Bound delegates are bound to their candidate for the first ballot regardless of whether or not that candidate is still in the race. Kasich's delegates cannot be "reassigned" to anyone else. Furthermore, Cruz cannot steal Rubio's delegates. But he can make sure that those bound delegates will support him in subsequent ballots. Trump can do this too.

Oh, I think it goes without saying that Trump will be “dumped” as soon as the 1st ballot is official.

But Ted, no matter how nimbly he may manipulate the system, will be spitting into gale-force winds at the Convention, and I’m not sure he’ll be able to dodge the blow-back.

Again, we’ll see.

The rules are that the delegates elected, no matter who they are “loyal” to, MUST vote for whom they were elected on the first ballot!

First, explain to me, given what I wrote above, how that is “subverting my will”? Then and only then will I address the rest of your post, because with all due respect, I don’t think you’re understanding my point here.

Yep, Amanda Carpenter tweeted that Carson was taking a break after Iowa TWO HOURS before the story “broke” on CNN.

Yep, state court. Let’s see what happens if it ever gets kicked into the federal/SCOTUS.

He’s got to become the nominee first which doesn’t appear to be happening, but if so then
be on the look out for a deluge of democrat actions if he appears to be threating their heir.

Cruz is not and has never been part of the GOP establishment. All along, we’ve been pushing for the leadership role where the establishment is forced to take OUR lead.

Harvard? Bush admin? Wife Bush Admin & Goldman Sachs? That’s not establishment? Really?

Fact is Ted Cruz was NEVER anti-Establishment pre TEA revolution. Like a lot of other career politicans he self serving hitched his wagon to us. And he dumps us the moment is serves him. TPA, H-1B, Lawrence v. Texas, accepting support of Romney and Bush, etc., etc. Ted Cruz is a climbing careerist without a principled conservative bone is his body. Nothing more or less.

I live in Houston his town have witnessed his meteoric rise. Ran petitions in City of Houston in 2011 to let people vote directly re sanctuary city policy and E verify Cruz and I were in competition for foot soldiers at the time but I never thought ill. Of him but noticed how many conservatives swooned over him at various events around the city. Once I had my table set up outside an event with my signs in full display for signatures. Heidi and Ted drove up in a Mercedes and she went inside to let event folks know he was there. He sat in car waiting right in front of my table with petitions. He never signed on that occasion or any other when his campaign was contacted.

The Supreme Court is tied at 4 and 4. If they can’t decide the ruling of the lower court prevails.

This coming from a Trumpkin....whose boy supported and helped elect Hillary Clinton Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi to office and then unleashed them to destroy the republic.

And who allowed them to "destroy the republic"?

You mean McConnell, Boehner, Rove, Ryan, Preibus,Steele, Romney and McCain?

Trump gave to the GOP more than he did to the Dems.

And he gave as a businessman.

If anything, Trump has ripped off the face of the DC Cartel and shown them all to be lying scumbags and traitors--all of them, with the exception of maybe those you can count on one hand.

And that includes both of the present Senators from Texas.

“But this is how it works:”

Then go out and proudly proclaim that this is what is going on!

If this crap Cruz is doing is so “above board”, then tell the voters. Put it in ads! Send out mailers! Go on TV and and say it with a smile!

What are all of you afraid of? That the plebs will *GASP* find this type of thing repugnant? Cant be!

It’s in “the rulebook” dontcha kno?
