Townhall reporter Guy Benson today admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won.
The Ted Cruz campaign is running Cruz supporters as Trump delegates in states that Trump won. That way they can steal the nomination from Trump in Cleveland although they’ve only won a fraction of the states Trump has won.
Guy Benson: This has been percolating for several months. He has a very sharp legal team that know the rules inside and out in a way the Trump campaign clearly does not. It’s not just Louisiana. And it’s not just finagling to just get Rubio delegates or unbound delegates. What they’re also doing is getting people elected as Trump delegates who are not, in fact, Trump loyalists. So they would be bound to Donald Trump on the first ballot only. After which, although they are technically Trump delegates, they’ve been sort of put in place to jump.
And these are the same people who call Trump supporters ‘morons’ one day and beg them to support Ted Cruz the next.
CONFIRMED: Cruz Camp Stealing Trump Delegates at State Level
Never gonna happen.
At best, CanuckTed is being used by his fellow Establishmentarians to stop Trump and select/insert Lyin' Ryan on 2nd or 3rd ballot.
If Ted gets it by this kind of tactic, I won’t just write in Trump. I’ll vote Democrat to defeat Ted.
I rather have a democrat than a dishonest Republican sleezebag.
Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizen, Cuban-Canadian, Pinocchio Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.
Cruz "character":
1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.
2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"
3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a Seven Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.
4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.
5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.
6. Uses Trump's wife in advertising "vote for Cruz" and then screams that Trump hates women, while he "loves them" - keeping few extra mistresses.
Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban-Canadian. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?
IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

Ted is not a guy who can be trusted with the Presidency, or with a SCOTUS position or a cabinet position or anything else.
“Cruz has to know that he will lose the election if he wins the nomination by playing dirty. Nobody hates the democrats more then me but I will not vote for another establishment scumbag.”
He and the establishment are so accustomed to manipulating the people, I do not think they realize where we are at. They most likely believe we will fall into line before the election. We have been willing pawns after all. Trump has done the nation such a service by showing us how corrupt the system really is. I will be forever grateful to him whether he wins or not. He so amazes me how much he is sacrificing for us...
Good!
So do you also thik the electoral college violates the sanctity of voting citizens ?
I thought FR considered those who vow to vote for the Democrat as traitors? Or does that only apply to Cruz supporters?
Beating Trump at his own game?
Besides, I just watched Chris Mathews (of all people) beat Trump like a rented mule. That's pathetic.
if it’s all legitimately within the rules, it’s not stealing. you people sound like the Gorons after the 2000 election.
Oh you innocent children! You thought everyone would just play nice in the political sandbox?
Each candidate will use every rule they can to their advantage. What Cruz is doing is within the RNC rules. Ethical? Nope. The ethics of the delegates involved should be questioned.
this is not a children’s game, folks. It’s politics and its rough and dirty. It’s always been this way, we just hear a bit more about it now.
I think a lot of people on this thread aren’t understanding this is doing nothing wrong in of itself.
If Trump gets the magic number then it doesn’t matter how many delegates Cruz has seated, Trump is the nominee. This is because the delegates are bound by the rules to vote for whom they were elected to vote for by the people during the first ballot.
These same rules though say that after that first ballot (or voting round if you wish) if more voting is required (because no one reached the required number) then the delegates are free to vote as they wish.
It’s on Trump and him alone if he didn’t (doesn’t) have the smarts to realize this and ensure (he doesn’t ensure now) that the delegates that are being elected to vote for him are truly loyal to him.
There’s no usurping of the people’s will here. The delegates elected to vote for Trump at the convention will do so as required by the rules. On the first ballot. End of discussion. All of this (what’s discussed in the article) only will come into play if no one has the magic number come convention time.
So I don’t know what the Trump supporters are worried about. Aren’t you confident Trump is going to reach the magic number anyway? Where’s all that bravado that’s told the rest of us for months now that “it’s over”?
No, the punk will ensure a Hillary victory, period. His supporters are ensuring a Hillary Presidency as well.
He will not get to 1237 delegates, thus Cruz will be the nominee.
I respectfully disagree.
If Donald Trump falls short on the 1st ballot, the Republican Establishment will install their own candidate. They're already discussing it.
We vote to send the delegates to represent out vote, if the delegates are being paid off to not vote for who we want then it is is a waste of time us voting and it shows how corrupt the system is.
If this primary cycle shows us only one thing, how arrogant this ‘representative’ form of presidential processing is, it will be worth whatever happens in November...I heard a guy running for delegate from the Lancaster Pa district on the radio, and he was railing about how many delegates already have stated how they seek to undermine the system, by voting for someone other than Trump, if the convention goes past a first ballot; regardless of how the district voted, their personal choice would be how they’d go at the convention...of course, PA being one of the most corrupt states in the Union, I’m not surprised, but still, I get pissed at getting played for a sucker...
Ted getting his own supporters to pretend to be someone Trump’s supporters so they can rig the delegate count is a worse traitor.
I’ll vote democrat to defeat that. And if you want to call me a traitor for doing so, then I’m proud to be a traitor against such a sleezebag.
This coming from a Trumpkin....whose boy supported and helped elect Hillary Clinton Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi to office and then unleashed them to destroy the republic.
I'm not sure smart is the correct adjective to describe the maneuvers being undertaken on Cruz's behalf...clearly the Republican party couldn't care less about the folks voting in their primaries.
This is a red herring actually, because of what Cruz is doing as described in the article you posted. He (Cruz) is ensuring that if a second ballot is required, then the majority of delegates are going to be loyal to him. So the GOPe can make all the “fresh face” pleas it wants, they too will be left out in the cold if they haven’t ensured the required number of delegates will vote for said “fresh face”.
what trick is he going to pull out of his hat when it comes to the general election?
**********
IMO, if Cruz was in the general and looked like he may win then you’d see a
court filing questioning his NBC status and thus we may get a SCOTUS ruling.
