Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife ...

Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife as endorser Carly Fiorina leaps in to insist a declaration that he's not an adulterer is a 'dance to Donald trump's tune'

Texas senator could put National Enquirer scandal to rest with a simple statement that he has never strayed in his 14-year marriage

Instead he has batted down the supermarket tabloid's speculative story about five alleged affairs in a more limited fashion

Carly Fiorina leaped in to intercept DailyMail.com's request for a blanket statement of marital fidelity and Cruz ultimately punted on the question

Fiorina pleaded for a return to discussing issues, but lobbed her own accusation at 'serial adulterer' Donald Trump

Cruz also challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate in Wisconsin on Tuesday night: 'Why don't you show up and debate like a man?'

Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.

'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'

The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.

Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.

But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SICK. Cruz, unlike Trump, is married to his first wife and by NO ACCOUNTS has been a serial adulterer. Your double standard is appalling and pathetic. Keep up the good work.

Nah, he’s guilty we’ve all seen this before in political figures and we know how it is gonna play out, he’s just being given time to try to damage Trump.

Notice every time he’s ask about it, he bashes Trump when there is no evidence Trump is involved, but won’t simply say I’ve always been faithful.

Let it go he’s a phony politician, and not a savior.

CRUZ is lying! He WONT DENY that he had an affair.

What are you going to say now, that it’s OK for him to DENY he had an affair because TRUMP had an affair?

Trump accuses people without proof

What did Trump accuse anybody of?

Too bad you don’t like the caps lock. It stays for me and others You Trump supporters do a pretty good job of throwing stones from your glass houses.

The whole point is that there is a little irony and cheek for Trump supporters to be talking about any affairs by Cruz. You all are “married” to someone in Clinton’s league — and that’s saying a lot. (He only lacks the sexual assaults of BJ). After he has the same age, same morals and same ego.

Cruz has spent that past four days accusing Trump for a Nat’l Enq. article. Cruz has no proof of Trump involvement.

Yeah, I meant some examples of Trump accusing people.

What Beck probably don’t know is that there were multiple cheating, not just the 1

You’ve got to understand the mentality of these people. As we say with BJ Clinton, office nooners are not “affairs”. I assume Playboy Ted’s female conquests had boyfriends/husbands. They are never going to admit to an “affair” for “fooling around” in the office. I’m going to agree with the article linked. Cruz is going to cop to an affair. After Wisconsin most likely.

Why should he answer the question? It is beyond the pale. If he says no, he will be called a Liar anyway.

How about asking him, have you stopped beating your Wife?

Unless there is any Proof of these allegations, all this is nothing more than a High Tech Lynching.

I see the Author of the story couldn’t resist throwing Trump into the fray. Trump had nothing to do with the NE Story.

BTW - Carly should keep her mouth shut. It certainly doesn’t help Cruz and makes him look small. Bad Optics.

You are tremendously FUNNY. Were you present at the affair?

As a Trump supporter, don’t you see any difference between a man still in his first marriage and one who has dumped two wives for mistresses and one man who has ZERO admitted adulteries and one who has been a serial adulterer. As a Trump supporter, is it possible to justify anything, including murder? I can’t even believe Trump said something so stupid.

So, the SuperPAC does something and the campaign denies it. We ALL know that these SuperPACs collude illegally with campaigns all the time. It’s one of the reason we support ‘outsiders’ as candidates, to get away from that kind of bullcrap. Yet, we have to trot out that same old canard to defend Cruz?

You wouldn’t buy that argument coming from a Democrat, but when it comes from Ted Cruz, it’s just fine and dandy.

This is the kind of thing that we need to stop doing in this country if we are going to survive.

Yup, looking more and more like he's stepped in it. But the most disgusting thing really is that he's blaming Trump for his problems. It's becoming clear that he only put on conservatism and "values" in order to garner conservative votes.

Cruz actually didn’t deny having affairs. He deflected by saying NE story was garbage. Its not the same thing. Maybe he only cheated with 4 instead of 5, thats why he said NE story was gabrage

Yeah. Better a low life man who uses women, brags about multiple affairs with married women, uses young women in his strip clubs....maybe some trump supporters want to offer up their daughters to work for trump. That would be better than someone who isn’t perfect but tries to better himself by attending church, trusting God. I know you believe he cheated. Hope you or yours aren’t ever accused wrongfully.

Look at Cruz’s history. He was a down the line GOPe careerist establishment man until out of self interest he surfed the TEA wave.
