Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife ...

Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife as endorser Carly Fiorina leaps in to insist a declaration that he's not an adulterer is a 'dance to Donald trump's tune'

Texas senator could put National Enquirer scandal to rest with a simple statement that he has never strayed in his 14-year marriage

Instead he has batted down the supermarket tabloid's speculative story about five alleged affairs in a more limited fashion

Carly Fiorina leaped in to intercept DailyMail.com's request for a blanket statement of marital fidelity and Cruz ultimately punted on the question

Fiorina pleaded for a return to discussing issues, but lobbed her own accusation at 'serial adulterer' Donald Trump

Cruz also challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate in Wisconsin on Tuesday night: 'Why don't you show up and debate like a man?'

Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.

'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'

The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.

Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.

But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

Hey, ask any faithful and religious man that question and he foes not get angry of defensive, he simply states:

“I’ve never been unfaithful to my wife and never will be. Next question”

Exactly. Or if he has been unfaithful, he admits it like a man and expresses deep, sincere sorrow and a desire never to do it again.

Is this a pic of them today? How sad.

If he cheated on his wife, and he and/or his campaign is making her go through the motions, it will continue to show. If she knows and is willing to stand by him, but they both deceive their potential voters, that isn't right either. It would all be for political gain.

“This is either incompetence or guilt. The longer he goes on with “this is garbage a smear” the worse he looks.”

I think he knows the other shoe is about to drop. The National Enquirer is not finished yet. I don’t think they have eyewitness proof, but there’s more to come and Ted knows it. He’s hedging.

Nailed it! Wish I could find a video of that presser. She made Ted look like a foot-shuffler.

At a minimum Ted is in the same league as Bill.

Actually, as C.S. Lewis wrote, of all bad men, religious bad men are the worst. I think he was right. After all, Jesus reserved his sternest rebukes for the Pharisees.

That why I have that tagline. Trump accuses people without proof and his supporters don’t care. Trump admitted to affairs with married women and his supporters don’t care. That the definition of a hypocrite. Cruz said its not true but his trump supporters want to believe it. No proof. you know it’s politics but don’t care so your guy will win. High horse. Better then in the mud.

That is such an EASY question to answer if Ted Cruz had truly been faithful to his wife but instead they deflect and go to the same ole, same ole, lame narrative of “blame Trump”.

It’s the difference between answering a question and deflecting a question.

Whether he thinks the question is garbage is irrelevant. Perception matters. Surely Cruz knows this. The perception is that he’s dodging the question. He had a golden opportunity to end that perception and chose not to.

This is either incompetence or guilt. The longer he goes on with “this is garbage a smear” the worse he looks.
==

It’s neither incompetence nor guilt, he’s being exposed as a hypocritical snake handling politikin and evidently cheating huckster, desperately trying to take Trump out with his last breath for his GoPe comrades.

He knows he’s done. The media knows he’s done. The GoPe knows he’s done. They all are just giving him a few more days to try to damage Trump.

Thank you your not alone. Heidi Cruz always projected to me as the Republican version of Hillary Clinton. 1 is enough, we don’t need another.

If Cruz didn’t do anything wrong, he should have said for the record I’ve always been faithful in my marriage and I’m suing National Enquirer for defamation.

His dodge is admission against interest that he has cheated on his wife in the past.

So much for the principled conservative. Its sad.

I’ve been parking my shoes next to the same bed for thirty years, and got tired pretty quick of Cruz’s constant preaching and “I’m a Christian first, American second.”
I got my fill of sanctimonous, ‘fundamentalist’ Gantry stuff like that when I wore a younger man’s clothes. Knew a deacon, married, four kids, he had girlfriends, saw pros. Wife divorced him flat.
Like a lot here I’ve enjoyed seeing Cruz hoisted on his own petard, because I hate hypocrisy, a type of lie, but have been patiently waiting for a flat denial. His position is starting to look like a tacit admission or maybe what they called about 1974: a ‘modified limited hangout’; anyway, it doesn’t look like he’s going perjure himself in the court of public opinion.
He’s looking more done every day.

"Has Donald Trump portrayed himself as the Face of God?"

No, but nobody reads the Bible more than him.

I'm sick of ALL of these people. The problem is, the people who have the desire to be president, shouldn't be. I feel the same way about cops.

All I do now is vote against the incumbent, hoping someone gets punished. I probably shouldn't say it, but I even voted for the Democrat against Cornyn last time around. Why not? The country is already long gone...

He’s just stalling for time until after Wisconsin next tuesday. He’ll fess up after that and Heidi will stand by her man. It will be hilarious watching our local Cruzies flip the switch when that happens and still stand by their man, Lyin Ted Cruz. LOL.
