This week, in the Utah nominating caucus, I will vote for Senator Ted Cruz.
Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.
The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.
I like Governor John Kasich. I have campaigned with him. He has a solid record as governor. I would have voted for him in Ohio. But a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.
I will vote for Senator Cruz and I encourage others to do so as well, so that we can have an open convention and nominate a Republican.

First ballot you vote for who you are supposed to.
Second you must select from among the group of people who got X number of delegates. Only Cruz and Trump are at that level. Most believe Cruz would win this balloting if remotely similar in total than Trump.
Third, I don’t know. I think it starts going state-by-state depending on the rules.

Also, back to this whole Romney endorsement business, I find it funny that he made this announcement at COB on a Friday. It ensures 2 things:
1) It misses the weekday news cycle, and hopefully, work-a-day Cruz supporters don’t see it, but...
2) It’s out there so Cruz can use it over the weekend to squeeze more millions from his globalist campaign donors.

Gov. Leavitt endorsed Kasich and is having a rally for him in Southern Utah Saturday.
Gov. Huntsman, whose family has been in an ongoing feud with the Romneys for decades, Jon Huntsman said he would get behind Trump if he were nominated.
The rest of Utah got behind Romney.
The Utah Caucus, where I will caucus in favor of Trump is in complete disarray.
Romney hates Lee which makes this whole thing even more laughable.
