Time to ponder......Ted Cruz for Trump VP.......Nah......Cruz lies, cheats, & when he opens his mouth and talks, he turns most folks off as he comes across as unfriendly, cold & evil. The company he keeps, Glenn Beck & Carly Fiorina are not crowd pleasers, to say the least. John Kasich, a liberal, who is not all there...across the board, has won but one state, and, has yet to prove he can run with the big boys.
Now....Marco Rubio.....maybe.........young, 44 year old, tough campaigner, Hispanic, comes from Florida, would play very well in Texas, New York & California, etc., attractive, great family, could run for POTUS at 52 years old, and could hold his own at any debate, town hall or campaign stop. Has excellent foriegn affairs backgound, could coordinate with Trump effctively on immigration. Has a great political future. Would match and balance with DJT......maybe. An action worth pondering for the Trump team and Mr. Trump, himself.
A Rubio move by Trump,....now,.....would insure that Trump can shift almost immediately to full time campaigning against Hillary Clinton, and would destroy Ted Cruz politically, overnight. Kasich, not to worry, he dies politically on the vine by his own doing. A thought & plan to ponder?
What exactly does Trump need backstabbing Rubio for? Really? Backstabbing Rubio lost 66 counties out of 67 counties in his own home state of Florida. Rubio is beginning to remind me of sore loser Al Gore who could not even win his own home state and caused a constitutional crisis and the guy who invented the internet and globull warming. Liberals have been throwing a temper tantrum since then thanks to Al Gore. Yeah, that’s who Rubio reminds me of with his delusions of winning the election when he couldn’t win his own home state. I think Trump is much smarter than this.
Yes, Cruz. But he’s not doing himself any favors with the voters—or Trump—by attacking Trump.
The “Biden” strategy ?
I don’t think Mr. Trump has even an ounce of respect for Little Marco.
Rubio’s reputation in Florida is pretty bad - and it would appear deservedly so. I think that would disgust Mr. Trump, who is a workaholic. Rubio is a talker.
Excellent choice.
Only three vanities today?
Lindsey Graham perhaps?
Oh God, my eyes. That is horrible.
“Texas, New York & California,”
wth. Texas and Commiefornia are irrelevant.
If Trump wins New York it is because middle America whites, black and Puerto Ricans who think there are too many immigrants in New York state
Just what Trump needs—Foam Boy.
I think it will be Chris Christie, which isn’t the worst choice.
West has a serious dark side. Loves the surveillance state.
I think Trump/ Christy would be a bit to much for the country to handle they are way to much like each other!!!! I like Walker, Patreaus, Sessions, Scott, or Judge Janine!!!!!
VP is a cruel position, no real power, just fly to funerals mostly except for the rare senate tie breaker.
At the same time they better pick someone who would be a great president, because the odds of a president dying in office isn’t so small.
I don’t trust Rubio for anything after his back stabbing immigration moves, so pick someone else please
But at age 72 by election time, she is too old.
Ted should drop out, it’s ridiculous.
So, Trump figures he doesn’t need to win Florida.
Or Nancy Martinez, hispanic governor of New Mexico.
Very interesting comments on both sides. Looks like Mr. Rubio has worn out his welcome. Can you image how these three idiots, Cruz, Rubio & Kasich have destroyed what careers they have....when all three had a fair chance to become “The Donald’s” VP choice. Not-too-bright, to say the least.
The only reason I posted this Rubio gambit, is because I have noted that Trump’s schedule had shown no events for Wednesday (yesterday), and maybe none for today......and, I thought the “Trump” team is in huddle talking and mulling over all their options!!!
Right now it looks like nobody gets a majority, but Trump gets the most followed by Cruz...if that proves right, then I say Trump and Cruz and their supporters ought to bury the hatchet and team up on a Trump/Cruz ticket. Yeah, yeah, spare me the trash talk accusations about each other....Only together will they represent such a large majority of the primary voters that they could shut down the donor class from trying some BS at the convention like nominating Jeb, Romney or some other crappy choice, resulting in such rage it would be devastating to the party, and the establishments pick would not be able to win even their mother’s vote in the general election.
