Breaking: Cruz Negotiating With Trump for VP Spot
A high ranking Cruz campaign official has told Elect Leaders that Sen. Cruz is in negotiations with Mr. Trump to become his Vice Presidential Nominee after Rubio dropped out Tuesday. Sen. Cruz has been the most consistent performer in primaries behind Trump. They are seeing the writing on the wall and want to negotiate from a point of strength which will evaporate over time.
The official stated Mr. Trump is interested in using Sen. Cruzs ground game in the general election, likes his appeal to the conservative base and his stance on immigration. Of the other options for VP none hold as strong of an opinion on immigration outside of Governor Jan Brewer from Arizona who is also being considered.
Senator Cruz in exchange for his support is wanting to be named to the Supreme Court if an opening occurs while Mr. Trump is president. Mr. Trump does not see this as an issue and a small price to pay to bring Sen. Cruz his fundraisers, donors and staff on board
He's demonstrated it mid-sentence numerous times.
Romney got crucified for flipping and flopping a fraction of the times Trump has, and expecting him to flip again on this one isn't hard to do. But how does he answer the question of why he put someone he publicly said is unqualified on the ticket without flopping?
If he believes he could pull out a gun and shoot someone on the street in broad daylight and his followers would still support him, why would he worry about having to "walk back" his statements on Cruz's NBC status or threats to sue him?

...BOOM! problem solved.
Bruce...there’s a REASON DJ’s “The Fieldmarshal”
Arguing political history with fieldmarshaldj is a losing battle... he’s the Master of it.
I don't know that he does. Perhaps there is a ticket without Cruz that wins. It's not all about Cruz, or Trump; whoever gets the most votes.
But it's Cruz who is in consideration for the second spot, or so this story would have us believe.
You make it sound like Trump is all that popular with the general public himself.
Whether he helps or hurts the ticket, and whether they are compatible, is for them to decide.
Trump himself killed any chances of a Trump/Cruz ticket when he came out and said he didn't believe Cruz was eligible. There is no way he could put Cruz on the ticket now without having to explain that away, and I don't see how he could.
He is the most popular (most voted for him), followed by Cruz.

Okay, I guess it is all about Cruz and his conservative career. He doesn't work well with others anyway. Cruz is ineligible to be President or Vice President, unless proven otherwise. Trump has a wide field to choose from, should he win; it would be odd should he pick Rubio as his apprentice, but it is premature.
Polls show that the only candidate with higher negative ratings than Hillary is Donald Trump.
Yep, Reagan was unpopular too.
Thank you. ;-D
I swear trolls that post this outrageous crap ought to be ZOT'ted on sight.
Cruz is ineligible to be President or Vice President because he is not a natural born American citizen. Why did he renounce his Canadian citizenship in 2014 ? Why was that necessary ?
Cruz is eligible. Period.
Ping!
Tell that to Dick Cheney.
Trump will just say it was politics and didn’t mean it. WTH(eck), it has worked so day.
At least he didn’t call Ted a child molester.
