By tomorrow morning Marco will be history.

Unless you are planning on running for dog catcher of West Miami, in which case you will still have to contend with him.

Trump’s position is to use the ‘threat’ of a tariff to level the playing field. As I just posted, tariffs imposed by some countries have had a very direct impact on our business and the only way around it would be to build a manufacturing facility in that country. Our products are 100% made in the US.

I agree that Trump needs to be wiser in things that he says. But it’s the people who are committing these acts (very few from what I’ve gathered) who are ultimately responsible. That said, don’t forget how out-of-control some of the BLM people have been when they protest. Some of that footage in Chicago that showed a black guy running up to the podium and shrieking abuse and refusing to be restrained was pretty ugly. If you’re dealing with people like that (and I stress that not all blacks are like that, of course) some provocation can happen and that’s not all Trump’s fault.

These Cruz votes are scary. Apparently Cruz’s establishment leanings don’t bother people and that terrifies me.

Agreed and only the left and certain RINO’s are totally blaming Trump and his campaign for the ruckus.

I agree with Cruz that Trump “should bear some of the responsibility”.

Cruz is not competing today in FL or OH. Wouldn’t he need those states in the general? So many pipe dreams, so little reality...

You have the right to say it but is it prudent?.....is it surprising there’s a reaction.... was it not foreseeable there would be negative consequences?

Yes, and that's the point. Trump's stupid comments (punching in the face, carrying out on stretchers, paying the legal bills, etc.) exacerbated the situation, and then when one of Trump's followers carries out his leader's wish and actually punches a being-escorted-out protester in the face--well, that does not reflect well on Trump's judgment.

[These Cruz votes are scary.]

Has it occurred to you that CRUZ supporters vote for him because they want him to win?

And in respect to GOPe votes, every Republican is entitled to vote - and if they prefer CRUZ to THE DONALD, that’s how it is.

Far less scary then the 2 decade history and current list of Donald Trumps liberal positions.....

1.He (Trump) thinks affirmative action is okay.
2.He would fund Planned Parenthood except for abortion. (This is current federal policy)
3.He supports a progressive income tax. He does not favor a flat tax.
4.He doesn’t want to cut Social Security or Medicare.
5.He’s in favor of a ban on assault weapons and supports increased waiting periods for purchase of ALL firearms.
6.He supports Universal Healthcare coverage for every American and the “govt. will pay for it”.
7.He doesn’t “fully believe in supply-side economics”.
8.He wants to lead “from behind” on Ukraine. Trump believes that Germany should take the lead on Ukraine.
9.He hates the Iran deal, but he wouldn’t abrogate it after taking office.
10. A short 5 years ago he termed the Republican approach to immigration enforcement “mean spirited”.
11.He supports “touchback amnesty”.
12.He has supported/supports such liberal sacred cows as ethanol subsidies, Kelo and govt. bailouts.

Hey I found a way to split my vote in Illinois. I voted for Trump and then voted for two trump delegates and for one Cruz delegate. My fourteen year old son helped out on the Cruz campaign so I voted for the Cruz delegate that got him involved. Not sure if other states are like this but I still want the Trump/Cruz ticket and this was my way of voicing it.

So we’ll “threaten” to shoot ourselves in the foot because they do. Stupid.

All this nonsense about tariffs. Tariffs do NOTHING to deal with the underlying causes but instead masquerades as a solution when the real causes are left untouched. More stupid.

Thanks for the heads-up. Mrs teletech and I voted Trump. (But I would vote Cruz in General if he wins nomination)

Tariffs helped the US develop industrially. Tariffs don’t work so well when you are an exporting nation like the US was in the early 20th century.

While it is true that “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it”, it is equally true that those who don’t realize that times have changed will make entirely new mistakes.

“The general who fights the last war, loses the current war”

It is now the 21st century, and the US is an IMPORTING nation.

It doesn’t matter why people vote for Cruz, they would get business as usual. Cruz is 2nd in campaign contribution only behind Hillary. Those are the people who would run a Cruz administration and everyone on this board at least knows that.

Cruz has no choice not because of what he owes them but because he would need them for his 2nd term. Its why so many of us say there are just two candidates on the ballot, Trump and the establishment.

Just the way the world is.
