It is not a free market for us. China is using tariffs and currency manipulation to give them an unfair advantage.

Margins don’t matter in FL or OH.
Trump wins FL, NC, IL maybe MO
Kasich OH
Cruz Maybe MO

The delegate tally will look different.
Trump will have the most but Cruz will get a fair share and Kasich will get OH.

So still no glide path for Trump esp. if Rubio drops out.

Trumpbots will try and anoint their king tonight but the math doesn’t show a coronation by any means yet.

Too early, the race goes on.

Wife and I both voted for Trump here in MO! So did my mom, dad, sister aunt, uncle, grandother. That’s 8 Trump votes here in Missouri!

If you were talking a trade “deficit” of raw materials your argument would have merit... I am importing $20 Billion in raw materials to make $70 Billion in products... but that’s now what US trade deficits are.

The plane truth is, manufacturing creates wealth, real tangible wealth, not paper wealth. For every manufacturing job created approximately 2.5 support jobs are created... for ever service industry job, about 1.3 support jobs are created. Nothing, nothing creates true wealth, and spreads wealth better than manufacturing, no other industry comes close.

Export your manufacturing base, and yes, while the free traders will say we manufacture more today than in the past, the reality is, when you view it per capital and adjusted for inflation that is just not true.

Can a trade deficit not be a net negative in some instances, sure... but those are not the situation the US is in, not remotely.

When you have literally folks being laid off so that the US can ship raw materials to the other side of the world for assembly and then have the items shipped back to the US for sale, you are not looking at a trade deficit that is a net positive in any way.

In Columbia, MO: My listed voting place was locked and dark this morning. After trying in vain to call the (Democrat) clerk’s office, where the phones were busy, eventually a friend told me where the unannounced poll location is. 6.5 miles through the boonies to an unmarked church, back from the road, behind a fence. Doesn’t even have a sign with the name of the church on it. And by the way, I live a half mile from another polling place that wasn’t particularly busy, and 3 miles form the center of town.

I heard Kasich just poured some water into his mail bag and it turned into some Boone’s strawberry hill.

Your problem and mine is the big dollar corrupt fat and UNCONSTITUTIONAL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Which is worse to you, economic self interest or political self interest? Greed in business may cause them to do all sorts of crazy things, but exchange in the open market is voluntary and you don’t have to buy their stuff (as long government has been kept from preventing open competition in the marketplace).

Contrast that with greed in government. Exchange with government is coerced and involuntary with the threat of fines and/or imprisonment. Government greed is all about them spending your money for their benefit and future political prospects). Government greed is also about the power to take and utterly waste your money (government thinks your money is actually theirs) as well as the power to tell you what to do and not to do.

The 800 pound gorilla you are ignoring is the bloated, dangerous, and mostly unconstitutional federal government. They are by far the greatest threat to our free and prosperous society.

Tariffs are shooting yourself in the foot as explained - they don’t punish the importer, they force higher prices to the American consumer, lowers our standard of living, and hampers our economy.

If China chooses to shoot itself in the foot, it done’t mean we have to.

Today Trump breaks the establishment on the wheel.

On a personal note, thank all of you for being here through this thing — to paraphrase Mrs O’Bama: I’ve always been proud of my country, but never more so than now.

Best wishes to all — Victory!

Missing like a whole lot of stuff in the middle.

Dollars going out vs goods coming in is a loss in many ways.

It’s a loss in U.S commerce, employment, taxes and of course the money leaves the country and enriches others.

You can’t sustain a negative imbalance forever. You simply run out of money and all you are left with are kitchen appliances.

The only “race” is stopping Trump. Once again Cruz is totally non competitive in the big prize states. Today it’s OH/FL.

Trump is battling a sitting governor to a draw and apparently blowing out a sitting Senator in his home state. Cruz has done nothing of the sort. His only hope going forward is getting enough anti-Trump votes to compete against Trump. That’s hardly an inspiring platform to build on for the general.

Yeah I am very cautious in my optimism for a good result from OH.

and what, pray tell, would be a GOOD result?

Actually, you’re wrong. What you just posted was further elaboration given by Cruz. OP is correct on Cruz’s initial comments.
