Do you believe that the trade barriers imposed by other countries on imported US goods hurts our businesses?
That is not blaming Trump for the violence of the protesters. These are two distinct, though related, matters: 1) the violence of the protesters, for which they are responsible, and 2) Trump’s unwise comments (punching in the face, paying legal bills, etc.), for which he is responsible.
I think Liddle Marco was following orders then and he’s following orders now. With a wife and 4 kids and no future in politics he’s dependent on the GOPe machine to find him a high paying job in return for services rendered to try to save Jeb! Preferably one where he doesn’t have to actually show up.

Tariffs have NEVER worked. They generally have the exact opposite effect of what was intended.
The Hawley–Smoot Tariff act certainly worked out well for Hoover didn’t it.

Tariffs are to level the playing field, reduce deficits and discourage American companies from deserting this country. And yes, they will work.
Voted Cruz here in Illinois, his delegates, alternative delegates, and for two friends of mine. Other than that I voted for the names I didn’t know. If my representatives have been in office for two years or more and the liberal traitor media isn’t calling them xenophobes, homophobes, and racists, then they’re not doing their job. Get someone in there the media will hate.
Not directly. If the forced higher prices in that country curtail demand, we can go elsewhere. It won’t affect our costs it may only artificially affect demand in that country because of the forced higher prices. If our products are good enough, it might engender a black market in that country for our products and sooner or later the futile tariffs will be lifted because they are self defeating and again, do not address fundamental economic problems in that country.
Again, protectionism and blocking open competition is harmful whereas open competition in the free market is helpful and beneficial especially to the consumer whose standard of living increases. Companies must either do a better job at what they are doing or narrow their focus on the segment of production or service they are most skilled at.
They never work. That is why countries use them so often when they can get away with it.
I work for an American manufacturer that does 100% of our manufacturing in the US. We have had an impossible time breaking into the India market due to the very high tariffs imposed on any product that is not manufactured there and the only way around it would be to build a manufacturing plant in India.
You see if you go into Harlem and run up and down the street screaming “I hate the N’s word” and you get the crap kicked outta you, who’s responsible?
Well, obviously the blacks that kicked your a$$....but don’t you bear some responsibility for making such ill advised comments?

Trump should start talking about the Internet giveaway (ICAAN) because we’re giving it to all the countries he’s railing against.
You take the mantra hook, line, and sinker. Tariffs only level the playing field in the sense that you’ve just done something as stupid as the other guy.
Arguing about tariffs is a sort of tempest in a teapot. Tariffs do NOTHING to address the REAL cause of business fleeing the country. You need to wrap your head around that.
Bull! The "free market" has killed our economy in real life, not hypothetical macro economic theory. That's why Trump is doing so well, he exposes what's really happening vs what politicians promised.
