Do you believe that the trade barriers imposed by other countries on imported US goods hurts our businesses?

Not directly. If the forced higher prices in that country curtail demand, we can go elsewhere. It won’t affect our costs it may only artificially affect demand in that country because of the forced higher prices. If our products are good enough, it might engender a black market in that country for our products and sooner or later the futile tariffs will be lifted because they are self defeating and again, do not address fundamental economic problems in that country.

Again, protectionism and blocking open competition is harmful whereas open competition in the free market is helpful and beneficial especially to the consumer whose standard of living increases. Companies must either do a better job at what they are doing or narrow their focus on the segment of production or service they are most skilled at.
