Opportunist Ted Cruz: “Donald Trump is Responsible” For Organized Chicago Violence (video)…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | Mar 11 2016 | Conservative Treehouse

This is quite stunning even for a politician as low as Ted Cruz. Senator Cruz has a prime opportunity to highlight the intolerance of the left. Instead he choses to attack Donald Trump:

At a media availability in Chicago, Ted Cruz basically blamed Donald Trump for the violence and protests that occurred earlier in the day at a Donald Trump rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

“The RNC is toxic.”

You are so right! Check out these attendees of the SECRET March 7 meeting in GA to stop Trump. See how many “R”s are after attendees’ names:

Tim Cook, billionaire Apple CEO
Larry Page, billionaire Google co-founder
Sean Parker, billionaire Napster creator and Facebook investor
Elon Musk, billionaire Tesla Motors and SpaceX founder
Arthur Sulzberger, billionaire publisher of The New York Times
Philip Anschutz, billionaire businessman and GOP donor
Karl Rove (BUSH OPERATIVE; NEIL BUSH IN CRUZ CAMPAIGN)
Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.)
Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.)
Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.)
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio)
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.)
Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.)
Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.)
Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas)
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.)
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.)
Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.)
Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas)
Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.)
Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.)

And why are these people having secret meetings? Aren’t there any ex parte laws? Aren’t there Sunshine Laws in place to specifically prevent this kind of underhanded, banana republic, stuff?

Seeing these lunatic protesters and the way they behaved is a turn off to any objective person.

The news reports said that many of these 'protesters' -are Paid Protesters. This is the only type 'job' these dumbazz's will ever have. They're at the bottom rung and they'll remain there. I'll bet that many of these paid protesters are ex-cons.

I wonder if Hillary will “disavow” Bernie’s thugs.

A dead serious question is who is ultimately paying them.

Remember Mississippi in 2014, the Democrat operatives were used by the GOPe in the Senate primary runoff to bring in Democrats to support RINO Thad Cochran on the theme that the Conservative Chris McDaniel was a ‘racist’.

Is the GOPe in on this disruption and the ‘blame Trump’ theme for the disruption.

Well, as I said in another post, in the pavillon there were students protesters ...many BLM and muslims...some hispanics too. There were some older protesters...BLM men—they seemed to be leading some of the crowd...ripping up Trump signs, etc. I was on opposite side of arena to see too much up close—Thank God.

Near me there were students who just seemed to be there to see the spectacle...not protesters...but not supporters. They were pleasant and polite. I should add that there were a number of blacks and hispanics with Trump hats who appeared to be genuine supporters. I was sitting next to a really great ex-Marine who was Black. I actually bought him a dinner because of his service and he helped my friend up after a nasty trip and fall while waiting in line to get in. So though there were protesters, there were a lot of good people there too.

When We were ambushed by the 200 or so angry thug mobsters, it was a combination of Blacks, Hispanics and maybe some Muslims...let me put it this way...no blondes in the group, they were all screaming obscenities and calling me a racist...I was trying not to make eye contact and was more concerned about the car in front of ours moving...The 2 gus who stopped the car in front of me were black...Seemed to be mostly 20 and 30 year olds in the rent-a-mob thug ambush.

Not sure if I provided the information you are looking for, but that is what I remember...

Even Rubio did a better job, although by no means perfect.

I've disliked Marco Rubio since the Gang of Eight attempt, but you are correct. Last night was possibly Ted Cruz' worst "own goal" of this game, and the tragedy is that he could have so easily done the right thing for everyone (himself included).

“I appreciate the level headed message @tedcruz gave tonight. His staunch support for our constitutional rights and not condoning violence.”

What the leftist means: “I appreciate the fact that @tedcruz doesn’t believe the First Amendment applies to everyone, especially Trump and his supporters.”

That’s a well-thought-out message.

At first I believed that he was a conspirator in initiating the protest, but maybe it’s simply what you said, “he caves to the mobs. Plain and simple he is a political opportunist.”

Are you truly this naive? Of course Ted was blaming Trump - the media is responsible for this by their constant KKK drubbing last week. It was pure nonsense, and no matter how many times he disavowed, they kept asking the same question. You can defend the POS named Cruz all you want, but, he is a deceiver. It’s sad that so many don’t or can’t navigate through his fancy words to hear what he is really saying. I hate the man and I used to be on his team.

What Cruz actually said:

“I think the campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment – when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that it escalates,” Cruz said. “And today is unlikely to be the last such instance.”

He is correct. He did not side with the protestors, but did say Trump is responsible for accepting violence.

The same protestors could have gone after any candidate, and probably would. But Trump is the only one who has justified violence. And his style of campaigning - bitter attacks on the character of anyone who disagrees with him - does encourage violence. NOTHING about Trump suggests reason is the way to handle disagreement.

Cruz is telling the truth.

Understand the implications of what Cruz said if his campaign survives this outrage. Constitution Ted has turned his back on law-abiding US citizens. He has sided with folks who have burned down cities and violently demanded that blacks not be held accountable for criminal behavior.

How does that lead anywhere but what happened in the Mideast and Ukraine where "peaceful protests" were allowed to get out of control and destroy civilization?

It is Ted Cruz who is the nasty piece of s***. More people who know both men say that about Ted, rarely anyone says it about Trump. So, you want to stand on Ted’s stance against homosexual marriage huh? W@ell, he is just as phony about that as everything else. Don’t forget, he held a fundraiser in NY with homosexuals. He took their money, and God only knows what he promised them. T Hey wouldn’t have given their money without getting something in return. Wise up and stop spewing your stupidity - Ted is a phony

“He did not say that.”

He blamed Trump.

“What he did in fact say was that the responsibility rests with the protesters.”

In passing maybe, but he blamed Trump.

You must be a very special person to be the only one who heard something different from everyone else. Or, maybe you were watching a different channel than we were.

I saw up front and personal what the BLM professional agitators were capable of...surrounding my car and pounding on my windows tonight...It was scary—they were full of hate towards me...not because of Trump, but because I was white and unable to move my car :(

After getting through that ordeal—thank God 20 or so Chicago police arrived on the scene to dispurse the 200 or more protesters surrounding the 2 cars stuck with me, I cannot tell you how upset I was to come home and turn on the news to hear Cruz blame Trump.

Cruz was at a safe suburban $120+ plate fundraiser—so it is easy for him to cast stones. But those stones were a cheap shot at Trump and his supporters. Shame on Cruz!!!!!!!

________________________________________________

Thanks for the report from the scene. You should send it to Trump.

1972 was 44 years ago. Pols under age 50 have no knowledge whatsoever about how close the US was to the brink back then, and how much of our freedom and independence we have lost since then.
