No. Judges do not get to write election law.
Why can’t, say, then, children who are 14 NOW vote? Because by the TIME they are able to vote, at 18, they will have been EFFECTED by the upcoming presidency?
This is absurd.
“I have no issue with this.”
I do. These kids have no idea as to what is going on in the world.
Dont go to google images and search for perineal.
Perineal battle ground for sure. Sits between NYC and Chicago.
Right on! The judges are all over the map.
In time this will change when the islamo filth controls the vote. The scum of the Earth is guiding misplaced children as we vote to correct it.

Sorry, didn’t mean to rile you up. I fully support states rights, I can support their right to do it and still think they came to the wrong decision. I have a right to voice my disagreement no matter what state I live in.
He’s talking about American Idol, right?
No, we’re good! I’m loving the debate!
I don’t mind them having to be landowners. (The equivalent of paying taxes)
And take the vote away from women! They’ve (as a whole, not those here including myself) ruined the world since they’ve been voting in socialism.
I do.
Eighteen is eighteen.
But, what the heck, let’s modify all the rules. In the lunatic state of Minnesota, one of our RAT legislators once tried to have the voting age dropped to 12 or 14. Yep, that’s an ultimate leftist goal. Get young minds (if they can be called that) to vote for what is cool, what their friends think is right, or what their media and schooling tells them is right.
We’ve already got wildly expansive absentee voting. motor voting, voters allowed to vote on the say-so of another person in that precinct or by showing a recent utility bill. Furthermore, you don’t even have to show any sort of ID. States are trying to allow illegals to vote and courts are too.
One big happy family - what’s another 30 or 40 million voters that couldn’t find their butts with both hands and the lights on.
If I ran it, you’d need to be at least 21. Further, I’d even go back to the original idea of have land ownership as a prerequisite. If you ain’t got skin in the game, you don’t play on the court.
Next thing you know, you’ll be blaming Cruz for the sun rising late.
Sanders and the Democrats did this.
I would suggest the same ‘legal’ thinking would apply to infants in the womb who would be born before actually being born. Using this thinking, infants in the womb should not be denied the right to life they would acquire just because they haven’t yet been born.
I read the short story in Esquire fifty years ago. I even remember the illustrations in the magazine.
“The Day it All Happened, Baby” by Robert Thom.
I do believe the voting age should be returned to 21 years of age.
“They should have raised the draft age to 20 instead! “
But that would have cut into the government’s “cannon fodder” for every worthless war since WWII.
Lol! You are a true Freeper!
Aww shucks, thanks. I like to imagine myself kicking back on the back porch having a few beers with fellow FReepers. A spirited debate can be a great learning experience for me. At the end of the day, we share more beliefs than we don’t. And once in a while somebody drinks too much and maybe somebody gets punched. But we all pick up a 12 pack the next weekend, say a friendly “hello” and do it all over again.
CHEERS!
Are you saying you support 17 year olds voting?
I sure don’t.
If anything we need to tighten voting rights, not loosen them further.
Whose wording is this? Is this federal guidelines, or the state’s guidelines?
Seems to me we have enough problems with younger voters voting for Leftists. This is a sure-fire way to get more kids to do it.
They get spoon fed Leftist ideology in school, then march right down to vote as instructed.
Good luck with that.
We are committing suicide as a nation.
