Poll: Clinton would easily beat Trump
The Hill ^ | 3/9/2016 | Jesse Barnes

Clinton would edge out Trump by 13 points in a one-on-one vote, 51 percent to 38 percent, in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey.

Trump, the controversial GOP front-runner, would lose even more soundly to Bernie Sanders should the Independent Vermont senator secure the Democratic nomination.

Sanders bests Trump by 18 points, 55 to 37 percent. Sanders picked up a surprise win over Clinton in Michigan on Tuesday, though Clinton expanded her overall delegate lead.

By comparison, Trump's rivals Sens. Marco Rubio(D-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) both fare better against the Democratic front-runner in the latest polling. Cruz and Rubio have stressed their electability in the GOP race.

Cruz trails Clinton by just 2 points, 47 to 45 percent, in a hypothetical matchup, while Rubio ties the former secretary of State at 46 percent each, according to the NBC/Journal poll.

Trump argued during a round of television interviews Wednesday morning that Republicans should unite behind him after his series of victories in the GOP race, including three on Tuesday night.

Trump, who has regularly boasted of his ability to defeat Clinton, said Wednesday on CNN that he thought she'd be the Democratic nominee.

He also argued on NBC's "Today" show that, if they united, "nobody could beat" the Republican Party.

The survey of 1,200 adults was conducted March 3–6 with an overall margin of error of 2.83 percent.

I do find it amusing that the Trumpateers find only the polls showing Donald crushing the competition are to be believed.

Trump’s negatives are off the charts. Let’s be realistic. It’s a problem for the general election.

Thus proving that....at least in the category of hypocrisy....they are ever-consistent.

Right. The fact that she is even winning delegates and giving Sanders a run for his money bears witness to that...when she should be behind bars, instead.

Well if Politco says it, the opposite must be true.
Seriously, the Dems want to win at all costs and their obsession with Trump PROVES they have internals that tell a different story.
We also know the GOPEstablishment LOVES a loser which explains their FEAR of a Trump win in the General.

realclearpolitics.com publishes an averaging of the most recent national polls. Their latest average of six national polls has Clinton: 47.3% and Trump: 41%.

I assume you are talking about GOP primary polls, since I don't know of a single poll showing Trump crushing, or even beating, Clinton in the general.

Trump's concession speech in November is going to be huge and classy! No one has ever given a better concession speech!

Trump needs to SCREAM from the rooftops when he is in the general election. He needs to SCREAM how Bernie Sanders is getting schlonged by Hillary and the establishment. He needs to SCREAM how the primaries are being stolen from Sanders. Why? Bernie just won the Michigan primaries but guess what? Hillary is being awarded more delegates. And this is not the first time this has happened to Bernie. So why should Trump care to point out this injustice? Because 30 % of Bernie’s supporters said they would not vote for Hillary in a recent poll. Trump needs to give the Bernie supporters a solid reason why not to vote for Hillary. If indeed 30% will not vote for Hillary Trump wins the title of Mr. President by a landslide.

If its Trump vs Clinton, it could the first time ever that both candidates are viewed unfavorably by a majority:

“Overall, do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of Donald Trump?”

Need state by state analysis and only about 12 states will really matter. But DT may put a couple more states in play and the Clinton camp is not exactly sure how to handle this guy. This is psychological warfare at this stage, not meaningful information.

Really? If Cruz/Rubio are so universally loved in these polls, why aren’t they winning?

This is not a hard question to answer. When you combine Cruz’s and Rubio’s national number they kick Trump’s butt! That is why Cruz so desperately wants to get the race to a two man race.

Any poll at this time includes all those republicans and conservatives who are for Cruz, Rubio, etc. who would not admit that they will vote for Trump when it comes to it. Polls at this time are useless and are really just a type of push polling. Stick to the plan and vote for Trump, Cruz, even Rubio if he winds up winning. Let’s not let them do what they have been so successful doing in the past several elections, that is steering us away from supporting who we really want as President.

THAT is what I've been asking. Cruz runs around saying he beats Hillary but Trump does not. Then why can't Cruz beat Trump?

For the life of me I cannot imagine why anyone would vote to listen to Cruz for 4 years...he might be bearable if it weren't for his globalist votes (not to mention ineligibility) behind his back.

Very strange why the open borders people don't seem to mind a POTUS from another country. Next we'll have someone from Somalia. /s

Why are we even talking any more? Why don’t we all just check out and enjoy playing golf or what ever?

With Kaisch/Rubio knocked out Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal polling indicates Cruz will walk right into the nomination and the Presidency.

Obviously there is no need for us to talk or think or do anything in Politics any more. From now on we can simply wait for the Media to publish a poll and follow what ever they direct us to think and do.
