Country singer Joey Feek, whose final months battling cervical cancer were chronicled through a series of emotional posts on social media and her husband's blog, died Friday. She was 40.
"My wife's greatest dream came true today," her spouse and musical partner, Rory Feek, wrote in a blog post. "She is in Heaven. The cancer is gone. The pain has ceased. And all her tears are dry."

To correct the idiot who wrote the piece. Joey started out with Cervical Cancer, had surgery, chemo, radiation, pronounced cured, a few months later a 9 MM Sigmoid Colon Cancer tumor was found Stage 4, more surgery, more chemo, before the radiation a CT found more tumors, doctors said there was no more they could do. It was the same strain of cancer as the Cervical. BUT she died of Stage 4 Colon Cancer.So she went home to hospice in Alexandira, Indiana at her family’s home.
The Feek’s live on a large farm and gave concerts in Pottsville, TN.
Their Blog is super busy as news of Joey’s death broke.

I read that she had passed. So very sad and know her family is devastated, as well as her many loyal fans! :(
So sad to hear of her passing, but happy that she is with God now.
She has young children. Pray for them. They have a good father to continue on.
Joey only had the one daughter Indiana Boone, who just turned 2, Indiana is a Down’s child. The older girls are Rory’s and grown and one is married and sang with them as back up a lot. They had their own TV show on RFDTV called the Joey and Rory Show. Just a 30 min show.

Fortunately we live at a time when musical performances can be saved. Joey will live forever in heaven and her music will live on here on earth.
I almost didn’t click on this story. I’m so glad I did. Tears all over the place.
I read they recorded the song 2 years before her cancer struck. They hadn’t intended to stage the video the way they did, but their producer suggested they should film it as if Rory was remembering Joey, so they did.
Very sad, but such a classy lady. Rest in Peace, Joey...
