Big RIP
I live about 7 miles up Lewisburg pike where Joey and her sister in law Marcy had their little restaurant and music venue in what’s called Pottsville which is really just the intersection of state hwy 99 and Lewisburg pike which is old US 431
Pretty good home cooked food
Everyone around has followed this poignant situation and been inspired by her and her husband’s faith in God
Closest things of note around there are lots of low hills and cedar thickets and canoeing on the Duck River and birthplace of Bedford Forrest which is maintained
This one is heartbreaking. I had not heard of her until today. I have now watched some of her videos and read articles about her. She was so young and beautiful. Her singing voice was incredible.
Although I never knew her, I already miss her. My prayers are for her family and friends.
I hate cancer...she was so young.
May Joey (Martin) Feek be resting in peace.
That is so sad. Such a beautiful soul.
Very true, I bought their Inspirational album, Rory wrote many of the songs, and their last Gospel album which are old fashion hymns like Precious Lord Take My Hand which leads off the new gospel album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2XHCpLFtxo

That is why he put the blog up, it is his tribute to his wife and daughter. And his love for them.
Lucky you, hubby’s eldest daughter and her family live about 30 miles away, and we stopped and ate there. Joey refilled our coffee and spoke to us a little. And then Rory came in with Indy and he and hubby got to talking Military, seems they served on the same base in Millington, TN at different times. Age difference. But both of them were very gracious with their time.
Then we went for a concert on the next family visit, 4 hrs and Marcy Jo’s food in the lobby to buy and consume. Grandson ate a whole Elvis cake all by himself. And took a second one home with him. It says something when a 10 year old girl will sit quitely through a concert that does not have yelling and screaming idiots in the audience. Everyone was quite and very polite in deference to their great singing, they even brought Indy out near the end as she had just woke up.
I have been following this story. It always brings a tear to my eye because it brings up so many memories.
Watching my wife say goodbye.
Holding her tight wondering if this is the last time.
Praying that God either sends a miracle or go ahead and takes her home.
Utter helplessness...
Same with my parents, Lung Cancer found to late to even treat. Both were smokers, dad was a very heavy smoker. Lost my late husband to a massive heart attack...no time to say goodbye. My grandma dropped dead of a heart attack after coming in from grocery shopping when I was a teen.
We may not like God’s plan, but it is always the RIGHT plan in the end.
Funeral arrangements will be private at the Farm the couple own in Pottsville, TN.
