The GOP is doing its damnedest to lose this election
March 3, 2016 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 03/03/2016 10:45:08 AM PST by Jim Robinson

Keep blasting away at your leading candidate and trying to thwart the will of your voters, you will lose any chance at winning the presidency and you'll lose the House and Senate too.

Leftist open-borders RINOs Romney, McCain and the so-called GOP "leaders" are complete idiots.

They don't call it the stupid party for nothing.

Yeah right! Republican Party = Stupid Party

Mitt Romney = Northeast liberal Republican... Donald Trump = Northeast liberal Republican.

Can you say hypocrisy?

"...The bottom line is that Trump can’t unify the GOP...

Well he has certainly unified the GOPe!

Against him, that is.

I see this as a grassroots movement that could ultimately result in traitors hanging from lamp posts, both figuratively and literally.

Thus I approve. This country, and our elites specifically, are due for a Great Cleansing.

It’s true. Cruz has a punchable face. And it’s entirely likely if he and Trump did join forces Trump could lose some support over it.

Romney’s speech today only served to push me all the way into the Trump camp. I will still watch the debate tonight, but have had it with the GOP establishment. Reince Priebus should have been fired after Romney lost. The RNC also lost lots of supporters when they lied to us and told us that if we got them both the House and Senate, they would immediately reverse Obamacare, etc. They lied and the GOP died.

My Spidey sense tells me it’s much worse than that with just how desperate the Republican leadership is to try to take out an outsider.

With an outsider coming in at the level of the presidency, there is a very high risk of the whole Washington DC cabal’s corruption, being exposed. I imagine it’s much worse than any of us think.

The GOP is doing its damnedest to lose this election …

… because they didn’t try hard enough to lose the previous two.

I just watched Trump’s speech in Portland. He was reserved and, IMHO, reserved. He responded to Romney’s speech but was much more polite than I ever expected. The all three cable channels has anti-Trump guys on to comment on the speech. It was amazing. they ALL obviously wrote their talking points before the speech and didn’t bother to watch it because they were talking about something that never happened. Called him out of control, ranting and threatening Romney. Crazy. The Rubio guy on MSNBC was practically drooling hatred.

No surprises here. They all get special interest money, most from the same sources (e Trump donated to both sides), thus they are all 100% beholden to their masters. Anyone that tries to change that will get steamrolled by all of them. We the people are useful idiots.

They are scrounging up Bob Dole as we speak, I bet.

And if that doesn’t work …

It’s all about power with these clowns.

I don’t like Trump, but for much different reasons than the GOPe. I don’t trust Trump and just think he is foul, obnoxious and disingenuous. But the GOPe recognize that a Trump nomination is likely which means an end to their grip of power over the party. You know they are desperate when they get their last two losing candidates to tell you trump can’t win. But hey, they could be right! McCain and Romney know all about losing.

You nailed it.

(Can I say that to you?)

The stupid/incompetent excuse won’t work. The D.C. GOP wants Hillary over Trump, not for the good of the country but to safeguard the perks and privilege they enjoy, win or lose.

It’s disgusting.

You’re right. The GOPe is trying to “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory”.

I'd point out that there are Trump supporters actively wanting GOP candidates in Congress to lose, and not just in the primary.

Guilty. I will donate money to Paul Ryan's opponent. If he's primaried or barring that in the general. He's a P.O.S. and needs to be beaten.

I'm aware of the history of the Court. But the fact that some GOP Presidents have nominated some justices that turned out to be more liberal than anticipated does not mean there is no general difference between the kind of nominees each party tends to select. You're confusing the exceptions with the rule.

Every single Democratic appointee voted against Bush in Bush v. Gore. Every single Democratic appointee voted against our Second Amendment rights in Heller, and every single Democratic appointee voted to restrict free political speech in Heller. Every single vote on the "right" side of those cases was a Republican appointee.

You had two stray GOP appointees -- Souter and Stevens -- also side with the Democrats, but without GOP appointees, all three cases would have been lost.

What's your beef with the 15th Amendment?

In any case, this is no longer the 19th century, but the 21st. The role of the Court has changed, unfortunately. And if you're seriously saying that it makes no difference whether Hillary Clinton and a Democratic Senate is appointing/confirming judges versus Trump/Republican Senate, I think you're delusional.

At the debate tonight, the first question should be “how many of you agree with Mitt Romney?” This will show us who really is with the establishment. I bet all the candidates will raise their hands except Trump, of course...

I don’t see it, Ted raising his hand there. Nope!

Cruz stupid enough to come off as a Romney clone tonight? I hope for Cruz’ sake he doesn’t.

I don't think he's stupid at all and I don't expect him to take the bait. Rubio will though. Just watch.

Forget about Trump vs Cruz. The GOP elite are trying to destroy the Movement they both represent.
