Marco Rubio's supporters protest appearance by the GOP front-runner, who has donated more than $100,000 to the event's host.

Donald Trump’s speaking slot at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturdayis prompting an acrimonious backlash from the conservative critics desperately trying to mount a last-ditch campaign to block the GOP presidential front-runner from winning the party’s nomination.

A top aide to Trump rival Marco Rubio has accused CPAC organizers of being in the tank for Trump and clearing the way for his acceptance into mainstream conservatism, while an anti-Trump super PAC is pressuring organizers to rescind their invitation to the surging GOP front-runner.

Potentially complicating matters further, sources tell POLITICO that Trump has made multiple donations totaling more than $100,000 ― including a $50,000 check last year ― to the American Conservative Union, the group that organizes CPAC.

If CPAC was “in the tank” for Marco, he would be as happy as can be. It depends on who is getting “tanked”

These Rubio thugs are behaving as if their campaign advisors were hired from Black Lives Matter. I’m sticking by my comment that since that tag-teaming by Rubio and Cruz, their activities feel more like a coup than a campaign.

Plus Rubio didn’t even care to respond to CPAC if he would attend or not.

Trump has trashed Rubio I think 2 times in a CPAC speech. Maybe it was 2013 and 2014.

Good Gawd Almighty!
Trump Derangement Syndrome is for real.
Latest Symptom: Conservatives are now protesting like college students about speakers they disagree agree with.
Maybe we should start a pool as to which one is the first to call Trumps speech, “Hate Speech”.

If only they had put as much effort into stopping Obama............................................

There’s actually a group named “Make America AWESOME”? Was it established by Beavis and Butthead? “Awesome” is a teenage, valley-girl word.

Rubio is not even eligible. He is attempting to Usurp the presidency just like Obama did. Anyone who supports him does not support the Constitution and is in no way a Conservative.

Yes, but this election process of which you speak; this does not mean what I think you think it means.

At least, not in their eyes.

It’s all just political jockeying, which Politico is using to try to elect Hillary. No need to go bonkers. Just tune into the speeches.

CPAC has been a BS operation for years now. A mere vestige of its former self.

Hope Trump gets to speeak right after Beck. Going to be intresting because all the GOP people from Trump to Beck are going to be there.

I half expect the riot police to have to storm the place to stop the brawling

Sure, and even more fun after Sandres speaks make him do a Q and A with the audience.

Really want some fun? Get Clinton to speak and do a Q/A with CPAC.

CPAC has been a BS operation for years now.

CPAC belongs to the American Conservative Union, which finally jumped the shark completely under Al Cardenas. Grover Norquist is still board member.
