Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) slammed the Republican establishment Wednesday, suggesting they should blame themselves for the rise of GOP front-runner Donald Trump.
"Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s Frankenstein," Reid said. "Republicans have spent the past eight years stoking the fires of resentment and hatred, building Trump piece by piece."
Reid's remarks come after Trump won seven out of the 11 states that held Republican primary contests on Tuesday.
The Nevada Democrat, who is retiring at the end of his current term, suggested that after Republicans "refused" for years to work with President Obama or Democrats on legislation they are now "reaping what they have sown."
"Donald Trump is the ultimate fulfillment of the Republican Party's legacy of obstruction and resentment," he added.

But in too many ways he's right. The GOPe created Donald Trump. For decades they were putting everything into place so that it was inevitable for Trump or someone like him to arise. McConnell and the Bushes and Boehner and the rest of their kind were crafting the instrument of their own destruction.
And now they are surprised at this?

Reid is the LAST PERSON ON EARTH to call someone a name. He is one of the main reasons this country is in such horrible condition. Too bad his “exercise machine” failed to do him in.
Reid is humanity’s colon polyp.
And Reid is Obama’s pivot man.
I wish they would just get it over with and announce the formation of the Uni-Party. Seriously, get it over with.

I don’t think it is so much that the GOPe created Trump, but the GOPe sure as hell created the conditions that made a Trump inevitable. And I hope Trump does destroy them; or, like Reagan, emasculate them to such a degree that they come to him with their hats in their hands, begging for forgiveness.
He is absolutely right except he was built with broken promises. If the GOP did what they said they were going to do Trump wouldn’t exist.
Of course he is the GOP Frankenstein.
When we get, in order: McCain, Romney and Jeb! as their choice, we prefer the monster that would destroy its progenitor.
