I am as big of a Cruz supporter as there is here on this site. But you gotta be joking. Sessions is a stooge?!? This is utter nonsense and just plain stupid. Sessions is definitely very conservative and above all else a staunch immigrant reformist and very anti illegal immigration. I am sure this is the main reason he is supporting Trump.
Support whomever you support, but please don't besmirch someone who has stood by what this Republican and most of the rest of us have valued for years. 9 and by the way - that is also why I still support Cruz first. he has also stood strongly for most of what I support. And stood by it to his own detriment) But knocking a stalwart like Sessions, to me is simply very wrong, and very misguided.

As far as I can see, Trump has used nothing but low-brow politics, and lies of every sort he can think of.
Trump’s past will rise up like the Phoenix (with Hillary’s help) and yank the rug out from under him.
If Trump ends up our candidate, we are in for the worst election night of all time.

If you’re referring to the Establishment in Washington, then the answer is yes. They WILL have the worst election night of all time!
I am concerned it will be that period between November election and the installation of the next president...if it turns out to be Trump.
We must stop it. Unfortunately the Republicans are the ones most of the votes that allowed it to pass the Senate. We must use the election of Trump to send a clear message NOT to vote that through.
Vigilance has always been Free Republic’s greatest asset IMHO. I hope the primary distraction and disruption will fade so that we can be about the bushiness of saving the Country.

The country’s survival is hanging by a thread. Sure, Trump’s a gamble, but one worth taking at this point.
Did he vote for the TPA? Hint: he did
Hate to break this to you fanboy, but you aren’t going to be asked to have Trump’s next baby.
Cruz dishonestly campaigned for and cast votes for Obama’s trade promotion authority bill for over a month. TPA lowers the bar to passage on trade deals to only 50 votes, barred filibusters and prevented amendments.
Cruz was carrying water for his big donors like Goldman Sachs who stand to make billions on these crony trade deals. It was a shameful display and the moment I withdrew my years long support of him. Electing Trump is our only hope of stopping this madness.
