Bringing dangerous Guantanamo Bay inmates to U.S. prisons would undermine a terrorist recruiting tool, White House spokesman Josh Earnest argued on Tuesday:
"Well, their argument would be a lot tougher, because the detention that we would have in place would be cleanly in line with American values, right? That we would ensure that this is consistent with the way that American citizens are treated. That certainly is more consideration than these terrorists give to their adversaries, to say the least." ...

Balderdash!
I understand this bunch at Gitmo were captured on the battlefield. That would make them enemy combatants. If they were captured rather than killed for the purpose of gleaning helpful information, and the good guys have gotten all of the information they can, why aren’t they not being killed? Wouldn’t they be dead anyway, if they were not captured for information?
Baraq, YOU are a terrorist recruiting tool.
When you announce to the world that the future must not belong to those who slander the pedophile prophet, YOU are recruiting bloody minded animals to the cause of America’s destruction.
These terrorists never should have seen Gitmo. They should have been shot on sight and their rotting corpses left in the sand for the crows.
No.
Meanwhile as the focus is about Gitmo then keep watching the white house prepare their judge or let in another million illegals or tens of thousands of muslims from the middle east.
Transfer them to Israel, so they can be treated like Arab terrorists.
It’s satire!
What? It’s not?
Oh, never mind...
Treat them like American Citizens?
Holy crap he’s going to torture them!
Do we try them with the rules of evidence citizens expect? Chain of custody? Hearsay? I doubt the soldiers who “arrested” these terrorists followed the same procedures the FBI uses to ensure evidence is allowed in court so they probably go free.
Or does Obama want to set a precedent that courts don’t need to care about those old, outdated laws and if the prosecutor says “guilty” that’s the way it is?
If they are not a threat, release them. If they are a threat, but have good information, send them to Bagram and house them there. If they are a threat and have no good information to give, hang them.
Do not bring them into the continental US.
In future, terrorists should be treated like terrorists. Hold a quick sergeant’s tribunal to verify that they are in fact terrorists, and then shoot them. Their only hope is to cough up information and do it quick. If they do, and the information is good, then its off to Guantanamo for debriefing.
OK, I’ll buy in. We can send them to the general population on Riker’s Island. Deal?
sh*t!
FUBO!
There. Fixed it. This should make the White House happy.
I’m sure that one of ISIS’s and Al Qeda’s top grievances against the US is that terrorists are being held in Gitmo instead of US prisons.

What this is about is giving many of these incarcerated terrorist bad guys trials, as though they are citizens. Obama knows plenty of radical left-wing lawyers that cannot wait to defend these guys, paid for by the United States Government.
And the reason he wants trials is he wants to give them a voice, and in the process of conducting their defense, they bring witnesses, they testify maybe themselves to their mistreatment, to how horrible the United States has been in their native countries, to their families and their friends or whatever, brace yourselves. ‘Cause that’s the desire here. This is about making the United States face, in front of the world, the horror and the terror it has brought to otherwise innocent and harmless people around the world. Make no mistake that that is part and parcel of what is desired here.
