Ted Cruz's presidential bid is in turmoil after repeated allegations of unsavory campaign tactics by his Republican rivals, leading some key supporters to call for a shake-up in the candidate's message and strategy a week ahead of the crucial Super Tuesday primaries.
Aides and allies of the insurgent senator from Texas acknowledged in interviews this week that the campaign has been damaged by attacks on Cruz's integrity from Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. They have pointed to a series of questionable tactics by the Cruz camp, including calls to voters suggesting that candidate Ben Carson was dropping out and the sharing of an inaccurate video suggesting Rubio had disparaged the Bible.

Senators Lee and Sessions have spoken very highly of Senator Cruz. The voters of Texas elected him to the United States Senate despite the fact he was opposed by the Republican establishment and massively out funded.
He has many supporters in the primary.
The people who say they don't like Senator Cruz are the MSM, Rep. Boehner, Senators McCain, Graham and Senator Mitch Obama’s bitch.

They say that in a democracy you get the government you deserve and our morally flexible base combined with the ignorant masses is succeeding in delivering a seriously flawed nominee lacking the understanding or inclination to combat the statists on every front. Now we have to hope for the lesser of two evils to win the Presidency. The GOPe has salvaged a minor victory in taking out the one conservative running.

Trump has been dealing with the establishment way longer than Cruz. Just ask his beloved friends, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Hillary.
Cruz has no one to blame but himself. He is not a natural born US citizen as required by the Constitution to hold the office of president. And Cruz knows it.. The once renowned Harvard Law Schooled lawyer, has made a mockery of the Constitution.. and deceive the many. The Cruz I was introduced to way back when, claim to fame was he followed the 'original intent' of the Constitution. No more, is he called the 'original intent' Cruz. Now, he has been downgraded to the handle the most 'consistent' conservative. Whatever that means.

It is not the sinners that abandoned Cruz - rather it is the 'spirit filled' Christians that had an awakening and turned away from the false prophet.

I agree 100% with your post. It is distressing when a truly honorable Constitutional Conservative is smeared like this. I wonder which campaign is sending plants to his rallies to vilify him.
Yesterday, Trump said that Cruz has decided to give up lying (at least about Trump), and therefore will feel much better about himself going forward.

I agree with that. They are "late to the party," and assuming what Trump suggested is true (that Cruz will back off the obvious, direct falsehood), criticism from the press is not justified. Bygones be bygones, there are election contests in the past, and decisive ones in the future.
The false charge is sticking because he is attacked on a daily basis and the MSM reports it incessantly.
For Pete’s sake, Cruz is a liar. Three different men running for president with diverging interests know it.
The sooner Cruz supporters realize the fatal flaw in their candidate the better. It is time for them to come out from under that cloud and see what is really going on.
