From the article:
But whatâs most odd is that the two popes are these two popes, and that the one who spent a third of a century erecting a Catholic edifice of firm doctrine and strict prohibition now must look on at close range as the other cheerfully dismantles it in the service of a more open, flexible Church.

I don’t know what Ratzinger is thinking, but he has no one to blame but himself.
ping
That’s true but wouldn’t be shocking for him to stand up and say Frances Liberalism is doing more harm than good to the church... I mean really Frances is now supporting birth control, illegal immigration, what’s next abortion, infanticide, the murder of innocents? How about a comment from the Pope about the senseless murder of Kathryn Steinle by an illegal who gained entry here multiple times because we have no wall...
Most of us have heard of the poop deck.
Now we are introduced to the pope deck.
If we want any pronunciations from either, we’ll request one.
Benedict would never resigned had he not felt it for the good of the Church.
You may not recall this, but a few months before he resigned, the World Court and various UN organizations were discussing charging and arresting the Pope for “covering up” child molestation or for being part of a criminal organization. This was actually approved, and then it disappeared.
I think BXVI was threatened, probably by Bergoglio, who wanted to be Pope and is in like Flynn with the UN, that if he did not leave the Papacy, Interpol would have a warrant for his arrest. He no doubt thought that Catholics would e destroyed to see the Pope under arrest. Notice that he has never left Vatican City, except to fly to Castel Gandolfo, or set foot on the territory of another state.
Bergoglio probably set this up, but in any case, I am very confident that Benedict would never have resigned for any personal reason but because he thought it was for the good of the Church.
LOL. There was a time when all popes were under arrest. When they stopped the problems started.
What exactly do you claim Ratzinger did?
Pope Francis has been far more lenient on abusers than his predecessor.
What could Bergoglio do?
I don’t think it was his call to step down. He found out something he shouldn’t have.
Which would be?
Something to do with pedophilia would be my guess.
What possibly could he have discovered about pedophilia that would force him to retire? Unless it’s that he is one, I don’t see it.
Properly handling and addressing the many sexual violations by priests over the years would have been for the good of the Church, too, but Benedict didn't do that. Your noting that he doesn't leave Vatican territory, in light of the UN warrant, is very perceptive.
Pray harder, every time I think about it or read about it I just pray.
I could have gotten tickets to see him yesterday in Juarez and I gracefully declined and so did most of the people. We had 40 tickets and maybe 3 or 4 were taken.
Absolutely, but Pope Benedict was super conservative and not about to become the flaming, sodomite Marxist/socialist, that the satanic NWO needs the pope to become for the New Age One World religion.
We are watching the coalescing of all the Bankers/the Vatican Bank-—they have all their horses in a row now, with the anti-pope and destruction of the ME and erasing of all religious differences.
Except maybe Putin. But who the hell knows??? They are trying to create a WWIII to kill off Billions of useless eaters anyhow...and this evil pope is in on their plan. He is ejecting the Catholic Canon as easily as bathhouse barry discarded the Constitution....and no one is doing a thing about it because most people have NO idea what is happening because of all the Marxist disinformation and control of information.
It would indeed be interesting to hear from pope Benedict about current matters of concern and faith And it seems such a shame to be without the benefit of his experience and wisdom
The white one, the red one, the black one and the pale one...
