President Obama has said he will push forward a nominee for deceased Justice Antonin Scalia “in due time,” and while some Republicans in Congress and on the presidential campaign trail see a delay on the horizon, legal minds are mulling the shortlist – which includes names like former Attorney General Eric Holder and current Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
Yahooo! Politics reported the list of names currently being bantered about includes “Sri Srinivasan, a U.S. Court of Appeals judge for the District of Columbia circuits; Merrick Garland, chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia circuit; Attorney General Loretta Lynch; Neal Katyal, a Georgetown law professor who spent one year as Obama’s acting solicitor general; Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson; Solicitor General Don Verrilli; and former Attorney General Eric Holder.”
The news outlet also reported Obama’s mentioned to friends Patrician Ann Millett, a U.S. Court of Appeals judge for the District of Columbia.

It’s interesting to see the media build this game of expectation over who an Obama nominee may be. Clearly and unequivocally they are trying to build support for Obama to have this pick by creating this parlor guessing game of who will be nominated.
If McConnell is to be believed (yes, big if) then Obama will never get this pick, but the media is deliberately ignoring this and acting like the selection and approval is imminent. Again, this all seems designed to force Republican’s hand and cause them to relent and surrender to Obama.
If McConnell and Republicans know anything — at all — they certainly must know that this would most certainly be their very last surrender to Obama before the walls came completely tumbling down upon their electoral heads.
No way... Even if she did the right thing with Hillary.

Yes the LEFT is salivating at their good luck .. and my best guess is Loretta Lynch .. primarily because she has already been vetted (supposedly); she didn’t get much opposition from the Senate when she was confirmed for the DOJ; and so far, I don’t think she’s done anything that terrible.
In fact, I believe she replaced Holder for this very purpose; she was young enough to wait it out.
Lynch is about as for America as Mao Tse-Tung
I think Obama wants to get Loretta Lynch out of the way because he knows the FBI will recommend an indictment for Hillary and he wants a strong partisan in the AG spot to fight it.
He is using this to protect Hillary.
Recess appointment of that great jurist, William Jefferson Clinton! William Howard Taft was on the supreme court after he was president.
To keep her from having to do anything about Clinton, then don’t get another Attorney General appointed in time to do anything before the election.
