MARFA, Texas -- United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia's heart stopped beating during his sleep, Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara told WFAA on Sunday.

Guevara officially pronounced him dead at 1:52 p.m. on Saturday. She will be the local official who signs his death certificate.

Hours earlier, the county judge told WFAA that myocardial infarction -- or a heart attack -- would likely be the cause of death listed. Guevara later said she would confer with the Justice's personal physician on what specifically to show as the cause of death....

Who prepared the food and drinks?

Why not do some toxicology tests?

Many things can bring on an M.I., including poisons.

There was no Autopsy. How can it be ruled a heart attack?

Oh, they reached this conclusion a few weeks ago.

If you know what I mean.

As a heart attack survivor I can state that, when you’re younger, your prospects are quite good.

When you’re old, it gets iffy.

Its just the way things are.

“...myocardial infarction — or a heart attack — would likely be the cause of death listed...”

No need for detail on his death since he was only a very important government official.....Justice and all...

The vet gives me a better description than this of my dog’s intestinal problems!!

The guy was nearly 80 years old.

Sometimes people croak because it’s their time. Better to have gone in his sleep than had any number of unpleasant endings. Strokes, Cancer, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, and many more....

My Dad died three years ago in his sleep at the age of 84 of complications of diabetes. No autopsy was necessary. He had a whole lot of health problems.

But my Dad wasn’t a conservative Supreme Court justice, whose sudden death has liberals chomping at the bit to further transform (read: destroy) this great nation. My father was just a regular citizen whose death wouldn’t change history.
There should have been an autopsy, considering the extreme political circumstances of the present, and very precarious, moment.

Well, Drudge probably has a good reason for saying it.

I think he’s generally a person that has a pretty good cause for reports like that.

What an absolute crock.

Old people die, but it certainly isn’t out in the weeds to think that the democrats know they are going to lose this election. Obama’s legacy could be on the line unless he can stack the court with 5 commies to 4 conservatives.

I am not saying this is what has happened, but the left doesn’t like losing.

I agree.

I don’t think it’s out of line to suspect some foul play with a guy like Scalia and Obama’s time running out.

Not saying I fall for this totally, but I do have an open mind on it.

My beloved nephew was found dead in a motel room and they did an autopsy on him, of course he was only forty-three. It was cardiac arrest. If they did one on my nephew! Why wouldn’t they do one on Scalia? Of course, a lot of things can cause cardiac arrest, which is why I always thought Breitbart’s death suspicious, but Scalia was 79 yrs old and docs confirmed he had chronic conditions.

Here it would have required a medical examiner, not some county judge, to sign off on cause of death.

Is a county judge qualified in any way for that?

In that part of the country it is. I used to live there and know a few people from there so if I hear anything interesting I’ll post it.

Yep. And the GOP-E will say absolutely nothing. This is some major BS going on here, autopsy is routine for anyone found dead, there is no “waiting for a decision to order one”. Heart attack can be induced any number of ways, cutting off the breath, ingesting poison, fright. What is this “ruled to be a heart attack” crap? EVERYONE who dies has a “heart attack”. “His heart stopped beating during his sleep” yes, but that doesn’t mean that is what initially killed him. I can’t believe this. On the other hand I can with this regime.

Or maybe he normally slept that way as many people do

He saw his physician just a few days before. They contacted the doc who was in touch with the family.

Really this is such nonsense by those who cannot seem to accept that old overweight people die

I do not understand why an autopsy was not performed.
It does not mean he did not die of natural causes, but why
not confirm, just to be sure?
