Did they mention the bit about a pillow on his head?
But I think the nation is in grave danger on the occasion of his death, whether it was natural or not.
In NM, it’s state law to preform autopsy when a body is found alone...I guess it’s not so in Texas.
I’m glad that such a Christian man was taken home peacefully. But he shall be sorely missed on the Supreme Court.
Hmmm...I think an autopsy would have been advisable.
I know he was 79...but given the makeup of the court, given his relative good health, and given the potential for foul play...an autopsy should have been preformed.
Does he have any protection as a SCOTUS judge?\\
I ask because the man seemed in good health and why has there not been a cause of death yet?
The quote was "...a pillow over his head."
Not 'on' his head.
Since he could see the man's face was not contorted, I took 'over' to mean 'above' as in, against the headboard.
What is the cause? No one has said I believe. The man is found dead in the morning and no autopsy!!!
...from the state’s website:
“In the state of New Mexico, when a person’s death is unexpected and the cause of death in not immediately known...it will be investigated by the Office of the Medical Investigator. New Mexico has a statewide medical examiner system, with specially trained investigators in every community. Many in the state refer to the Office as the OMI.”
No Secret Service protection for USSC Justices. But for speaking engagements, the Justices are afforded US Marshalls Service details and local police are advised. Other than that, it's up to the Justice.
If you know Him “you shall go down to your grave in peace”.
“Hmmm...I think an autopsy would have been advisable.”

Agreed, given the potential for outright corruption of this administration and the narcissistic longing for an Obama legacy, an independent autopsy should have been performed.
If I am to go, I want to go the way Scalia did. He lived and died well.
He probably died in his sleep but it wouldn’t surprise me if more deaths like this start popping up during the Islamic agents last year in office.
Absent any evidence whatsoever of foul play I think the wishes of the family should be respected.
I thought unattended deaths pretty much everywhere required an autopsy.
Even Nelson Rockefeller, who died in the saddle stiff as a board as it were, had one in NYC. Medical community was all a buzz with salavious comments about that autotopsy.
The Man died peacefully in his Sleep, God Bless Him.
Now, God Help Us.
In roughly 1/3 of heart attacks the first symptom is sudden death.
