President Barack Obama on Friday used a new jobs report to continue his victory lap on the economy - and jab at the Republicans vying for his job.
In brief remarks to reporters at the White House, Obama declared the U.S. has "the strongest, most durable economy in the world."
He pointed to signs of wage and income growth, job growth, lower oil prices and increasing numbers of Americans with health insurance as evidence of that claim.

665,000 more people are now out of the job force. But to Obama that’s good news.
Crony capitalists to provide the dough
Entitlement army to provide the votes.
It’s a winning strategy...
including my husband, laid off since early November. Not eligible for unemployment until April..yep, things are just ducky Bozo!
Soviet crop yields are up!
Why? Is it better? I hadn’t noticed.
Huh. That downturn in the graph. I thought it would have been Nov. of 2008 - I guess it took a couple of months for obama to get his agenda started.
“Rebuild the foundation of America.”
(Okay - first thing we gotta’ do is tear down the old one.)
All the very best to you and your family!
(so sorry to hear your another of Obama’s success stories)
begs to differ with your inept accounting. Just because you say something doesn’t make it so you are a liar always have been and always will be
Note how changes in the Unemployment Rate (blue) and the Labor Force Participation Rate (red) closely track each other.
Imagine what the blue Unemployment track would look like if the red Labor Participation track remained constant at 65.3%
(LEFT) BLUE = Labor Force Participation As A Percent Of The Government Defined Work Force
(RIGHT) RED = Unemployment Rate As A Percent Of The Government Defined Available Labor ForceThe labor force participation rate is the number of available work force that are willing and able to work and either employed or actively looking for employment.
While at the same time, 95 MILLION who are off the rolls because they no longer get free money, are still unemployed and not looking for work. NINTY, N-I-N-T-Y F-I-V-E MILL-YON.
Looks to me that by tanking the economy, he has pushed back global warming enough so that New York City is not flooding.
That’s right; what other legacy can they attribute to this mimic who spent years reading lines typed by someone else from a teleprompter?
The Audacity of a Lying Dope.
Two companies here in the Midwest have just laid off 700-800 workers. And a favorite Arby’s, nice, clean, food was always good - gone.
There’s no way they can keep operating retails stores and restaurants when’s there’s very little actual business on a daily basis.
Not this one.
absolutely
Yes. Arby’s is quite good for that kind of place and I can think of only one Arby’s left we can reach. Offering pretty good products isn’t enough in such a deep economic slump.
Friend of mine got a $75,000 loan from a bank to start a dollar store. He understood they were doing well in the economy. A lot of days, he was lucky to have $60 in sales. Once in awhile $100 - $200. Not profit, just sales.
Now he’s in an older, cheaper location. His sales are about the same. There are probably some days he doesn’t see $30. I haven’t talked to him in months or been to his store. I’ll have to drop by one of these days. Just to see if he’s still there.
We get many pretty decent household cleaning liquids and sprays for a buck at dollar store. Not major brands but most seem to work ok ( gotta test spray before buying aerosols!). Prices at regular stores 3 to 7 dineros per. So a dollar store can be useful - go visit your friend !
