President Barack Obama on Friday used a new jobs report to continue his victory lap on the economy - and jab at the Republicans vying for his job.
In brief remarks to reporters at the White House, Obama declared the U.S. has "the strongest, most durable economy in the world."
He pointed to signs of wage and income growth, job growth, lower oil prices and increasing numbers of Americans with health insurance as evidence of that claim.

You have to bear in mind, he is preaching to the choir (his base) - and few people are less impacted by the job market than them.
The economy is crap and he’s the only one who hasn’t noticed
He isn’t talking to working, literate people; he is talking to his base (who will remember him as the savior of the environment, the conqueror of cancer, and a million other intangible accomplishments without metrics).
In related news, Kim Jong Un praised his country’s human rights record back in September.
indeed!
his base has no need of any job market, since they do not wish to participate in it...........
you make a very incisive point. alas!
we need to cut back welfare of all kinds ...basically to just those people who genuine need help (such as Americans with genuine serious disabilities, not shirkers or folks too lazy to work....). actually, we can afford to be MORE generous to those who genuinely, really need some help....which I would support us doing.....and we can maybe rescue our economy too maybe....if we make do this)
He was just strutting around the chessboard shitting all over it is all.
Gas is dirt cheap. Prices are sliding down slowly. More people with more on handouts are happy and employed. Selective real-estate is moving.
There’s a lot out there for a good chunk of people to be happy with. For others it’s just more bait to sucker them deeper into the social welfare web. Obama has a slight margin here.
Listening to Obama is irritating until you realize he is speaking strictly to black people (and they are the only ones listening, if any still do). The other day, in his rant about Islam being a part of the US, he basically said that if one part of the country is hurting, the rest is as well. He obviously wasn’t speaking to the white and Asian guys marginalized/denied opportunity by affirmative action; he was preaching to underperforming blacks (as though he has done, or ever would do, anything for them).
How many of those 104 mil voted for the sumbitch?
What economy? It’s in the crapper!
In other news, the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals are celebrating their victories in the AFC and NFC championship games, respectively, and are preparing for Sunday’s Super Bowl.
his Iran capitulation might have helped...but we’re not better off for it because when Iran starts a war with nukes, the prices will jump. Or when they eliminate the Jewish State of Israel and all those defense jobs go because many of them involve trade with Israel, the only REAL economy in the Middle East not run by oil lucky ragheads, lotta workers will be screwed.
Just remember government statistics are derived using common core math,
That is all one needs to know.
The man is delusional!
I don’t know but....way way too many, yes, to be sure!
James Madison’s prescient view (that the poor would become the tool of the rich (such as Hillary and many more of today’s leftist ruling elite)... if those without property were given the franchise, thusly destroying the Republic) -—
“Viewing the subject in its merits alone, the freeholders [that is, landowners] of the country would be the safest depositories of republican liberty. In future times the great majority of the people will not only be without landed, but any other sort of property. These will either combine under the influence of their common situation, in which case the rights of property and the public liberty will not be secure in their hands; or, which is more probable, they will become the tools of opulence and ambition, in which case there will be equal danger on another side.

“Did you hear the good news? Choco ration has gone up to 20 grams a week! Doubleplusgood, eh?”
When our debt was at $15 TRILLION the Economist estimated we needed at least 200,000 jobs at $50,000 a year for four years straight just to pay the bills. We’ve never reached that level and here we are busting $20Trillion in short order.
no, he is relentlessly evil...
He's definitely developing his own universe
