Wednesday on Fox News Channelâs âAmericaâs Newsroom,â Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) said after his opponent Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% came in a close third in the Iowa caucus which was far below where he was poling, the suggestion that other candidates drop put so Rubio has a clear path to the nomination is âabsolutely absurd.â
Host Martha MacCallum asked, âThis morning Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)94% dropped out of this race. There is a lot of talk in Republican circles that there is pressure on you and others to get out and pave the way for Marco Rubio right now. Your thoughts on that.â
Bush said, âThatâs ridiculous. We had one election. Not single delegate has been selected, not a single delegate. Marco Rubio came in third place in a caucus state, and we are all supposed to bow out. Itâs absolutely absurd. Iâm going to earn this by working hard and laying out a case that I have the leadership skills to fix whatâs going on in Washington, D.C. We need to change the culture. We need to fix the economic situation. That message will resonate and Iâm in it for the long-haul.â

Delusional or the fix is in?
The longer he stays in the better. Keep sucking up those Establishment dollars.
Long haul means at least to SC.
But it may be true.
Goal being to split the votes so no one qualifies on the first ballot.
it doesn’t matter if Jeb! ever decides to ‘get out,’ or not
he’s been dealt out
by the American voters
Yeb is mad because his mommy said he could be president.

Agree...what is Jeb’s endgame? Why stay in at this point?
“He doth protest too much,” W. Shakespeare
Dirt bag will hang in there until the money drys up. Besides, He hadn’t gotten Mommy AND big brother into the act yet.
I heard he had to ask people to clap at his NH appearance today. I actually feel sorry for him. He’s not a bad guy, many of his positions are conservative and he was a competent governor. But he just doesn’t have what it takes.
Like his brother, he’d be too weak and gentlemanly against the Dems and, while he’s a lot better speaker than either his brother or his father, that’s not saying much. Also, he’d bring back into government all the people who failed his brother and his father (think Colin Powell) because the Bush family is very loyal - which is not always a virtue.
“Why stay in at this point?”
Because whomever is the last man standing besides Trump will win the nomination.
Momma Bush, please take little Jeb!bie home and put him to bed. He’s getting tired. He needs a good long nap. And lay off the sugar, will ya. He’s been bouncing off the walls he has so much energy.
The fix is in for Jeburrito.
Maybe to stay in to collect money from donors? Something is not right about how he is so adamant to stay in the race with such low numbers.
Famous last words.
“I am not a crook.”
“I did not have sex with ... that woman.”
“I’m in it for the long haul.”
Not that I like Jeb, but Jeb gave up on IA.. In it for the long haul for Jeb is at best March 1 unless he sees some traction. After Super Tuesday if he’s not moved the needle he’s out whether he admits it or not... Same for pretty much the rest of the field, beyond the top 2 or 3.
Jebs a decent man, but his pro illegal immigrant, pro common core stands make him a non starter... not to mention being from a political family in a cycle that is very much anti establishment because of the decades of sell out by republicans....
It’s because Rubio is NOT what the establishment wants. He is TOO conservative.
