"We leave here with 19 million dollars," Cruz Communications Director, Rick Tyler, told reporters Monday evening. "That is more money that Bush, Rubio, Kasich and Christie combined."
"People cannot leave Iowa with no money in the bank. Lots of candidates have done it, tried it, even when they've won and they have not gone on to win the nomination."
Tyler continued to stress the importance of money going forward in the election.

So Cruz is flush with money? How come I got an e-mail this morning asking for “emergency” donations from Cruz?
Unless the average poll is off by a margin of 20 points “Baggage Carrying Ted” will have a tall order to fill especially with Senior Amnesty on his Six.
Yes, New Hampshire is a peculiar place as well. It’s hard to draw reasonable conclusions for the outcome there too. The first real test is Super Tuesday.
For now, the only thing that Iowa has settled is that !Yeb, Kaisich, Christie, Paul, and Fiorina Santorum and Gilmore need to pack it in.
NH has 43% the population of IA. It once was solidly conservative, but now is dominated by Boston exburbs on one side and Bernie’s commune on the other. How is it representative of a winning GOP election coalition? Iowa is more representative of the base.

That’s not very niiiice.
Voting for Carson was not a wasted vote if you really thought Carson would be a better president. However, if the goal was to get a conservative alternative to the fascist nationalist, it was a wasted voted.
Any Republican that does not vote for Trump is throwing their vote away. Trump is the only candidate who has a chance of beating the Democratic counterpart. Ted Cruz is either unknown or leaves a bad religious nut aura on the mass of moderate voters who will decide the presidential election. Hey, Republitards, wake up and smell the coffee. It is either Trump or Hillary....your choice.
I wish I knew how. Can I just copy and paste it?
Understand, Cruz is my second choice, but OTOH, if he’s already in bed with the amnesty and cheap labor express, I think we should all know about it.
They may be a small state that might as well be called Massachusetts-North, but they at least aren’t just chucking a vote at whomever.
People go and vote in private (like a real election), and dont have candidate operatives pulling tricks in the room.
I don’t like the caucus program. I don’t trust the results as being independent. It’s rife with chicanery and peer pressure/intimidation. Those with the strongest mob can win with no chance outside of Iowa.
Yes, NH is not what it used to be as well. But, I will be more accepting of the results because it is an Australian Ballot.
Super Tuesday will really show who’s got a broad base of support. It may be Cruz, or Trump. I don’t think that Rubio will fare that well on March 1st. But, anything is possible.
Someone should ask “Baggage Carrying Ted” if he has a 20 point lead in New Hampshire and 10 billion dollars.
dynoman, you need to put an end to your lie.
Neither Cruz nor his campaign tweeted that CNN screenshot. Some Cruz fan with fewer than 4,000 followers apparently tweeted it (though it’s not currently in his timeline).
“Any Republican that does not vote for Trump is throwing their vote away. Trump is the only candidate who has a chance of beating the Democratic counterpart”
Trump doesn’t stand a chance against Hillary and probably not Bernie either. Americans HATE the man even 2/3 of the Republican voters hate him.
I’ve been seeing a few people (Trump supporters ‘dynoman’ and others) posting about how the Cruz campaign treated Ben so badly...
Where were they when Trump, while in Iowa, was mocking Carson’s childhood stories, his surgical abilities, and his religious experiences?
These Trump people need to take the phony caring attitude that they supposedly have for Carson and peddle it somewhere else!!
To be fair, there’s a big difference between talking smack about your opponent, and outright lying to potential voters that your opponent is dropping out.
So far I’ve seen a mounting list of slimeball tactics from the Cruz camp. He seems to really enjoy misleading voters. Very “Christian” of him. :/
Cruz 8, Trump 7, Rubio 7, Carson 3, Bush 1, Paul 1
You left out the three uncommitted RNC delegates. As Bush and Kasich are lost causes, those RNC delegates will, in essence, go to Rubio (the backup GOPe favorite) at the convention.
The delegate count is actually:
Cruz 8, Trump 7, Rubio 7, Uncommitted RNC 3, Carson 3, Bush 1, Paul 1
In essence, the delegate count is:
Cruz 8, Trump 7, Rubio 10, Carson 3, Bush 1, Paul 1
Lol. Carson dropping out is a matter of when, not if.
Peer pressure galore on the Iowa Rat side, but our GOP side was fairly clean with secret ballots and minimal electioneering. My precinct offered 2 minutes for candidate representatives to speak. Bush, The main difference is you're locked into a specific block of time, instead of voting briefly whenever. It culls the less motivated voters.
