Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he will not be attending Thursday's Republican presidential debate.
However, Trump's decision may be justified in light of an invitation from Fox News and Google to three carefully selected citizens, who are all prominent personalities on YouTube.
These three will be allowed to address the candidates directly at the debate. Two of them appear to have been chosen by Fox and Google because of their ethnicity and religion.
The first, Mark Watson, does not seem to have a dog in the fight against Trump.
The second individual, Dulce Candy, is an immigrant from Mexico, a former U.S. military servicewoman, and a Latina. Trump's commitment to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico could very well be a topic of her discussions with the candidates.
The third individual, Nabela Noor, is a Muslim American who is an outspoken critic of anyone who, like Trump, questions the motivations of Muslims, Muslim immigrants, Islam, and jihad. Noor, who reportedly equated Trump with Adolf Hitler, will most likely address Muslim-related issues with the candidates. Quite possibly, Noor will question Trump's plan to temporarily close U.S. immigration to Muslims. Noor states she uses her voice to combat what she perceives as negative stereotypes of Muslims, a phenomena she states is more prevalent.
Noor's comparison of Trump to Hitler seems to be misplaced. In fact, "the Muslim cleric who inspired Adolf Hitler with the idea of jihad was none other than the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Al-Husseini," writes David Bedein of Israel National News.
Bedein documented the influence of Al-Husseini on Hitler: "Indeed, in 1936, the Mufti welcomed Hitler's deputy, Adolf Eichmann, to his office at the Supreme Islamic Council based at the Palace Hotel in the center of Jerusalem, where Eichmann kept meticulous records of his meetings with the Mufti. The Palestinian Arab leader of that generation taught Eichmann about the philosophy of Jihad."
Poll FReep: If the election were held today, who would be your first choice for President of the United States?
I knew that this bunch of idiots would do this. I didn't watch and they are off my list.
That's guaranteed.
Cruz is going to wish Trump was there if for no other reason than to share the incoming bombardment.
It's NO secret Cruz has as many or more antagonists than Trump.
Trumps intel (intelligence) about FNCs plans to ambush him was excellent
He’s got an insider you can bet.
“As it stands. Not too many will be watching. Go Triump!”
I will read about the debate on Free Republic; but, I refuse to give Fox News the ability to count my TV when they tally up the number of people who tuned in.
“The point is to find out which of the candidates has what it takes to win the general election. That means enduring a barrage of hostile questions aimed at taking them out of the race. Character, associates - all are under the microscope. That Trump is looking at staying out is a strike against his suitability for general election candidate.”
You damn well know that Megan will ask stupid gotcha questions that have nothing to do with serious presidential policy matters. You also know, or should know, that the mooslim she-devil has been invited onto the panel to embarrass Trump. You also damn well know that FOX is a big supporter of the alien invasion. So stop playing stupid. You’re smarter than the democrat puppet Megan Kelly.
Cruz better have his big boy pants on.He'll be standing there with that same pathetic "where am I?" look on his face he had when Beck was swearing him in...He didn't know if he was in Iowa or Canada.
I think this is her stripper name. I HOPE this is her stripper name.
Which candidate is afraid to face tough or unfair questions?
Which candidate can’t handle adversity and overcome obstacles?
Trump isnât like Hitler. Heâs like Charlie Sheen, without the drugs. And Cruz is like Herman Munster with a bible
Yes. This is because he is much more aligned with Cruz ideologically, but with Trump temperamentally. Rush knows that while Cruz has the more consistent conservative positions, in fact we may need someone of Trump’s caliber to actually get anything done.
I’ve sent him a couple of notes urging him to answer a pretty obvious question: why, in poll after poll, does Trump come close to (or in a couple of state polls, tie) Cruz among “very conservative” voters, while among “conservative” Trump leads big? And the answer is in part a reflection on Cruz’s very serious weak spots: his utter inability to get anything done in the senate, to build a coalition of ANYONE, to get ANY Republican (not one!) to attend his “global warming” hearings. Add to that his questionable voting record on TPP and Corker, well, there are problems with Cruz “in practice” as opposed to “in ideology.” Rush doesn’t want to go there yet, because it becomes a criticism of Cruz. But I don’t see how you can avoid dealing with those consistent poll numbers.
She is a ‘has-been’[ with a snotty attitude—Gutfeld is a complete fool (tries to be witty and clever) but is neither, so covers himself with false laughs nd guffaws instead-—I liked Fox for years but this time they have shown their tru colors-——the hell with them and the rest-—sure hope and pray the people have the sense to put a man with balls in the White House to start the road back to making my country tops for ALL Americans
Fox has gone to the dark side. Why not invite regular citizens, like a family member of the servicemen killed at Benghazi? Or a victim of the knockout game where blacks punch out white people? Or a senior veteran having problems getting assistance from the authorities? What's up with inviting jerks who hate America?
I concur. Also the whole Trump phenomenon has every single talk show host confused to different degrees. All they have ever known and discussed are politicians for the most part. This was one yuge curve ball.
again... why announce it TODAY? If the plan was to spring a question on Trump, and they know they can’t ask the question, why carry forth with announcing the questioners?
I have no idea what that means, but I am not a Cruz supporter.
Good grief, are you really so obtuse?
Read the tweet from Megan Kelly in my original post. It’s dated Monday January 25th.
“So why didn’t they invite Diamond and Silk?”
Why didn’t they invite Jim Robinson?
Oh goody. She and Bush can converse in Spanish - ya know, to woo those Hispanics, eh?
