Michelle Malkin: ‘My Base Is Fed Up with Fox Murdoch ‘Treacherous Bedfellow’
Breitbart ^ | January 15, 2016

Posted on 01/15/2016 1:21:57 PM PST by Hojczyk

Now more than ever Fox needs a firm hand on the wheel. In many ways, the channel faces the same rebellion from the grassroots that’s cleaving the GOP. “I can tell you, my base is fed up with Fox,” conservative commentator Michelle Malkin told me.

Malkin, who quit Fox as a contributor, actually goes after Murdoch for supporting immigration reform in her new book Sold Out (she calls him a “treacherous bedfellow”).

Rush Limbaugh, whom Ailes first put on television in the early ’90s, has said he “no longer watches cable news.” A Limbaugh friend told me the dig was made explicitly about Fox.

So far, the kvetching among conservatives has yet to become a business concern for Murdoch. But as he weighs Fox’s future — with or without Ailes — Murdoch must consider the risk that the backlash poses to his network.

Fox revolutionized cable news by offering a conservative alternative to CNN and the broadcast networks, and the long-term danger is that Fox’s audience starts to watch it grudgingly, hoping for an alternative. “After the big brouhaha with Trump, there was all the apocalyptic talk of the ratings cratering. But there’s still nowhere else on TV to go,” Malkin says. “There’s a big opportunity. These people are sick and tired of seeing Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)38% all over Fox.”

I have not watched any news network for years. The last straw was Sean Vanity introducing every liberal d-bag on his show as his “good friend”. If they are your friends you are not conservative.

I would try OANN if I could get it.

Talking with a friend. That Charles Krauthammer would declare Rubio the winner of the debate at 6:00 PM.

I agree, They do it as some perverted way of showing they are fair and balanced, but I don’t see too many Elementary Schools hosting Known Pedophiles to prove they are fair to everyone.

For one data point, witness the number of FReepers who have bailed on Fox News and refer to it as “Faux” news now.

I’m with ya on Hannity. I got completely sick and tired of him having a liberal and “conservative” on his shows “debating” (yelling at) one another. If I really wanted to hear the liberal, stilted, upside-down, bass-ackwards perspective on any given issue, there are LOTS of other options.

Saying James Carville is my good friend equates to me saying my good friend Hugo Chavez, Stalin, or even Satan.

And I am done with Michelle. Took a bunch of people to a dinner where she was the speaker and the only thing she could talk about was how important it was to get on Facebook and that any conservative candidate or cause would die unless we are hooked in 24/7 to Facebook and Twitter. Free Republic is one thing...Hanging around to check your Facebook all day is a worthless waste of time. And, of course, most of the folks I know remember to vote without being texted to do so. She just wants to lead a new generation of lemmings.

It was such a bad night that my friends don't want to hear any more dinner speakers.

This probably is the reason Fox has slightly mellowed its attitude.

We just started watching OAN using ROKU. It is very good. Then we throw in a little Sky News and RT for flavour.

I don’t watch Fox (or any other “news” for that matter), but I saw it today while at the gym. What a joke. Over 5-minutes of the Cruz/Trump birther thing, over 5-minutes on idiot-boy Sean Penn and his pusher. Pathetic.

Michelle Malkin seems to get prettier as the years go by.

Michelle is NOT going to have much power to change anything by putting herself on the “outside looking in.”

Sean Vanity! That’s great! Talk about me, me, me.
He’s a parrot. Asking the same question to every guest. The same talking points. Ripping off everyone and not an original thought.

If the skirts get any shorter, they’ll have to declare it X rated and ban it from Prime Time.

A couple of weeks ago, the Huntsman daughter was introduced. Her dress was a nice, decent length. 2 days later she was back and someone had cut at least 4 inches off of the bottom of the same dress!

Yesterday Kimberly Guilfoyle was kicking her bare legs up into the air on The Five. Seriously. Her skirt was hiked higher than mid thigh.

I hear you, we DO have the OANN channel (Verizon FiOS) and I like it. My favorite show is “The Daily Ledger”. I don’t know if you could get it via internet streaming, but here is a link that may help you.

Thus article just points out what has been obvious since last July: FNC is the propaganda organ of the GOPe/WSJ/CoC cabal.

The blatant favoritism for the Bush group and the constant negativity toward Trump and Cruz has been over the top. Many of FNC’s shows have become un-watchable as a result.

When I heard Mark Levin say that Eric Bolling and Hannity no longer speak to him I knew that FNC had gone over to the other side for good.

Fox News is over folks. There is now an opportunity that is wide-open for a Breitbart-style cable TV channel. Just need some bold, creative thinkers and some investment capital to get it done.
