Donald Trump feud causes panicking Fox News CEO Roger Ailes to call Ivanka and Melania in attempt to get the frontrunner BACK to the debate - but he'll only speak to Murdoch

Donald Trump's refusal to attend Fox News' debate on Thursday night has sent Fox News into chaos The network's CEO has reportedly reached out to both Ivanka and Melania Trump to try and get the Republican front-runner to change his mind He refuses to attend over the inclusion of anchor Megyn Kelly as one of the debate moderators and will only speak to network head Rupert Murdoch Kelly meanwhile welcomed liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on her program Tuesday night who applauded her handling of the Trump feud One Fox News anchor said of Moore and Kelly; 'That would be like Rachel Maddow laughing along with Charles Koch as he trashed Hillary Clinton!' Trump called Kelly a 'lightweight reporter' on Wednesday morning and his campaign manager said she is 'completely obsessed' with Trump

The Fox News and Donald Trump feud is heating up now that the Republican front-runner has announced he will not be attending the network's debate Thursday night over the presence of anchor Megyn Kelly.

And while the network appears to be publicly siding with Kelly, who is still set to moderate Thursday's debate, the network is also reportedly trying to privately plead with Trump the best way they know how - through the women in his life.

Joe Scarborough revealed on Morning Joe Wednesday morning that Fox News CEO Roger Ailes had been trying to contact both Ivanka and Melania Trump hoping they could convince Trump to change his mind.

Reagan skipped the last debate before Iowa, Kelly has an endless parade of human debris on her show trashing Trump and supporting her bias attack on Trump.

I’ll bet advertiser’s are screaming at this point. Trump should do an interview or debate on another channel at the se time.

Even if Kelly is pulled off the debate, I dont think Trump should go.

Especially if there is any truth to Corey Lewandowski's statement on Morning Joe that other campaigns are reaching out to Trump in an attempt to also leave the Fox debate, and join Trump's charity event. Trump has the opportunity to stick a stake through the heart of the formerly-necessary evil that is the media. He should definitely not go, since he is, surprise, surprise, winning again.

Trump owned his television show, he knows all about sponsors, contracts, and ad money.

The Art of The Deal strikes again.

Reagan skipped the last debate before Iowa, do you feel the same way about him?

“Trump looks like a petulant little 3rd grader here. Presidential? Not so much.”

So, you think it is a responsible ting for a president to succumb to childish questions from a bimbo?? No thanks. I prefer a president to have discretion and a backbone and demand to be treated with respect.

I agree. But this is not about Megan anymore. This is about Trump gaining power and control over the media. No on else could do this. No one.

I don’t see the 6 Feb debate being cancelled, but the next question is if Trump will show up for that one. Will the Republican National Committee try to force him into showing? Will they ‘punish’ him into coming? If you were ABC, would you start planning a plan-B situation...maybe a Roller-Derby episode or run Rambo movie instead? If Trump beats Cruz by 10 points....I think most of the campaign business is finished and it’s just a waste of time to conclude another debate. If you talk to people...nine of ten are pretty decided now. Hoping that Trump would say something stupid and fall from his position? It just ain’t going to happen.

I’m betting the debate will be cancelled.

Well, I’d take that bet. I’ll bet you $25 that the Thursday debate will go on. The loser will make an ADDITIONAL $25 donation to Free Republic. Are you on?

Well, yes. There’s still that. If I were Trump, I’d not even entertain some biased and pointed question of some American Jihadi (excuse me, Muslim-American!) These terrorists don’t represent mainstream America. How many are there? 5-7 million best guess. Maybe twice the number of homos and Jewish People, much much less than blacks and a whole lot less than Hispanics..... Who cares what these rabid dogs think?

Trump reveres his family, even his worst detractors can’t deny that. How is it playing if Fox News really did call his wife and daughter to get them to change his mind?

And you seem to be parroting Karl Rove talking points...

Trump is winning.

Fox debates are a freakshow. They have muslim activists and illegal immigrants lined up to question the candidates.

I think Trump should hold his ground and NOT attend the debate. It certainly would put future general debate hosts on notice. Screw me once, a Twitter attack, screw me twice, YOU ARE SCREWED!

It simple, DT, "I can't stand it when women speak mean to me. I didn't like it when mommie got mad at me and did the same thing and I told dad on her! Call her off or I won't go. Bwaaaaa."

Murdock to DT, "Oh please, please come Donnie. What if I tell her to spare you her really mean words and especially nasty mean looks with blood in her eyes!"

Look at them scramble, LOL. Good. Fox News is a tool of GOPe hacks. They’ve long abused their viewership by subtlety pandering to the cheap labor express with most of their “opinion” shows, and now seeing Megyn Kelly fist bumping with Michael friggin’ Moore is just more confirmation that I was right to turn that station off years ago and never look back. Good riddance to bad garbage.

Faux is re-writing Trump attack scripts to Cruz attack scripts.
Other candidates are looking for their long knives to viciously attack
Cruz. The after debate talking heads are re-writing their scripts too.
And finally Frank Luntz is having to adjust their pre-determined
outcome.

I don’t see how Faux re-writes all their scripts in 2 days.

Without Trump, they got nothing. Very few people will bother to watch a debate without one of the front runners participating.

They should have realized what a financial loss it would cause before they allowed one of their anchors to throw snark in his direction.

Trump knows how to play this game, and he's pretty good at it. I won't say Fox gives in, but I say they will certainly give him more respect in the future, especially if he wins Iowa.
