Although I tend to think they won’t spend time doing that....But it would be so refreshing to watch a ‘real’ debate for the Presidential office , though the last one was pretty good as long as you could ignore Trumps standard boyish ways.
But you can bet Trumps enjoying all the attention about his announcement to not be there, cackling like the old man that he is that the pundits are asking (begging) him to reconsider. Though he’d call it bending on their knees.
How many Cruz supporters here will switch over to Trump in the general do you think? I’d happily support Cruz if he were the nominee despite the ulcer Glenn Beck gives me.
I’m a Cruz supporter who will support Trump if he wins the nomination.

Here's the script I see being followed now that Trump has bowed out.
I would bet $50 against a donut that once the debate is finished, NO MATTER HOW WELL CRUZ PERFORMS, without Trump on the stage, the Fox pundits will declare RUBIO to be the winner.
It's the ONLY outcome that the Fox "establishment" can allow.
Fox is actually MORE anti-Cruz than they are anti-Trump.
I think is great that Trump took a firm stand against the LSM by pulling out. This is the kind of tough, take no prisoners leadership we need.

Why is Trump risking this? Bad move IMO. He will be put in a position where he can’t defend himself. I am thinking he will find a way to show up at the debate.
In any negotiation if you're not willing to walk away you will always end up with the short end of the stick. That's part of being a great deal maker knowing when to walk away, even if you need them more than they need you.
Besides Donald Trump is right Megyn Kelly has no business being a moderator when she revealed herself to be so anti-Trump in the first place. Fox could easily find a well qualified to take her place and the debate moves on. No one will miss Kelly the debate is not about her.
