GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared to walk back his campaign spokesman’s earlier comments about Gov. Sarah Palin’s expected endorsement of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in Ames, Iowa on Tuesday evening.

While I personally think Ted is probably eligible, it’s a valid legal question. Trump won’t consider him unless that is resolved in court first, and rightly so. His campaign doesn’t need that baggage.
