Sarah Palin Endorses Donald Trump, Rallying Conservatives
NY Times ^ | January 19, 2016 | Maggie Haberman

Posted on 01/19/2016 1:35:17 PM PST by C19fan

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state’s caucuses.

“I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president,” Ms. Palin said in a statement provided by his campaign.

Dear Cold War Warriors...
The Cold War is over. We won.
Have a nice day.

You idiot. Putin's goal is to restore the Soviet Union and then-some with the addition of the militarily strategic, resource-rich Middle East.

How Russia arms America's southern neighbors

Ioan Grillo
May 9, 2014

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

BY: Bill Gertz
February 20, 2015

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

This name calling and acting like babies by a couple has become tedious.

I'll second that. I haven't seen such vicious infighting in years. This is getting to sound like when the GOP ran Bob Dole, lost conservative support big time and all we got out of it was 4 more years of Bill Clinton.

This race is ours to lose, and we've gotten pretty good at losing. I will vote for whoever the GOP decides to run, because to do otherwise is political suicide.

No Clintons in 2016!

I think you really hit the nail on the head.
I am in shocked disbelief at the number of FREEPERS who are rallying around a RINO... who actually leans to the left.

“Well, well, well...nopardons raising her hypocritical little head again.”

Interesting what’s happening here. I didn’t need to get further than this line than to know EXACTLY who you were supporting. Why? Because Trump fans don’t attack like nasty little children.

“one that loves her”

I hope so. She got played publicly by men twice.

I admire her strength for dumping both losers, standing up and taking the heat.

I think you are just bitter and jealous that your man did not get Palin’s endorsement. Actually Rafael is showing more class than you, because he twitted, he is still a fan of Sarah Palin even if she did not endorse him.

What a fantastic endorsement for Trump.

... and a loss for Cruz.

So the reports are true. Still love you Sarah, the Donald is a LOT of good things but a conservative he is not.

This endorsement will come back to bite you big time.

Re: Trump: "I think its fine. I think its fine, but we should have made a better deal"... "The concept of opening with Cuba is fine."

It's time for Ted to offer his endorsement to Trump...

In other words, you're OK with the US opening up to communist Cuba as Trump is?

Would that I had been as savvy as you. I bought into her conservatism shtick, so I am sickened by this revelation of who/what she really is. I guess it makes sense that a couple of reality TV celebs who crave the limelight and the drama would team up like this. I probably should have paid more attention to pop culture, but I’m just not drawn to shallow things. And now here we are with this spectacle.

I hope this backfires. If it ends up blowing up the entire GOP race and hands the nomination to Trump, my parting shot won’t just be not voting for the top of the ticket as was my original plan. I will cast my first vote for a Dem (Hildebeast or whoever) as my one-finger sayonara salute to Republicanism, pseudo conservatism, activism, and the time I invested in my passion for current events over the decades. On the plus side, I’ll get hours and hours and hours of my life back. On the negative side, Trump and his ilk will become the new measure of conservatism, and any attempt to return to constitutional conservatism will be ridiculed and thwarted on all fronts.

Grieve for those who inherit the Republic. They didn’t have a chance to save it before previous generations squandered it.

Time is a great healer. I am sure in time you will become less bitter, accept Sarah Pain’s judgement that Trump is the best man for the job of president. I will overlook your your bitterness today, because I understand you have been deeply hurt by the Pain endorsement of Trump.

This doesn’t surprise me much. Sarah got kicked in the gut by McCain, his people and the GOPe at large. Cruz tried the anti-establishment thing but it did not resonate (I am not faulting Cruz; I have a LOT of respect for him), Trump is kicking not only the GOPe in the teeth but also the DNC at large and the media for certain. It should be no surprise she would align with Trump who is doing the most damage to those who went out of their way to damage her.
I won’t bash on Trump too much for his perosnal business life and what he did to grease palms. I have known more than a few small business owners who had to budget in greasing palms at the county levels to get things done in a timely manner that were mandated in county law (i.e., time frame). At Trump’s level, I don’t think I can imagine the bullshit he put up with and put up himself to get what he wanted done.
If Cruz does not win the nomination, I hope at the very least he and Trump “make up” and Cruz get’s a JUICY appointment where he can make a real difference for “us” out here (I would love it to be a SCOTUS appointment).

At any rate, good for Trump on this endorsement and good for Sarah for stepping back in; she’s gonna catch flack but the woman knows how to handle it now.

No, I’m not ok with that. But Palin just endorsed Trump, not Cruz, just like Schlafly did. Game, set, match. It’s time to get a seat at Trump’s table.
