Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state’s caucuses.
“I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president,†Ms. Palin said in a statement provided by his campaign.

The Schlafly and Palin endorsements taken together can only help Trump claim his conservative bona-fides.
I’m a Cruz guy and am a little surprised at both endorsements. Perhaps the Schlafly endorsement greased the way for Palin.
I completely disagree with Palin’s decision.
I think Palin is going back to her “rogue” roots. She was actually a hugely popular person among democrats in Alaska. her endorsement of the federal governments bogus indictment of the Alaska senator was a key part of giving democrats control of the US senate.
I genuinely believe that Palin and her family have been unfairly trashed and demonized in this nation.
I sincerely believe that Trump is in it for himself— not for the nation— not for Conservatives.
I know a huge number Freepers are onboard the Trump train.
I am not.
I still think Cruz is demonstrably more conservative.
I genuinely believe that Trump would support:
abortion rights
eminent domain for seizing private property
single payer health care
tax increases
I also think that Trump genuinely dislikes conservatives and has self evidently spent huge amounts of time, money and energy attacking conservatives in this race. I think he has much more in common with Ross Perot than any sort of sincere rejuvenation of conservatism. He had no tweet activity while the Democrats debated on Sunday night but was eager to trash Cruz.
If trashing people of integrity like Cruz is what counts as good politics— then I want no part of it.
The fact that he so offends good conservatives who support Cruz, Carson and Paul is a legitimate reason to withhold support from Trump.
I do not think Trump will be the end of the Republican party.
The Party knows that Trump is the key to defeating Cruz and this is their way to accomplish that.
I think Trump genuinely despises conservatives—esecially those of us who do not hold New York values. And no I have no intention of apologizing for that cultural condescension. I have lived in such realms and know what is happening.
Trump is a very wealthy man.
I don’t think we need more plutocracy.
I wish Sarah Palin had endorsed Cruz or someone who is conservative.
I will continue to endure the unfathomable ridicule that echoes through FR toward people who support Cruz.
I don’t think it is even close. Trump is not conservative . Maybe people will come to realize that before its too late.
I am genuinely sad that Cruz should triangulate against palin— but that is apparently what she wants.
Intervening prior to Iowa is important. She is not New York values.

Thank You Lord. You have answered our prayers. Sarah Palin is a patriot just like Donald Trump. Best news of the month. This will get him Iowa and then a clean sweep from there.

she went with the guy who she thinks will be a better President not necessarily the most right wing.. if she believes that and a load of Republicans do (Trump is out polling Cruz among those who consider themselves VERY Conservative) then that’s why she came to that conclusion
one man crusaders usually make very poor national leaders,, they are to be admired but in the end the people don’t want another ideological zealot in the Presidency... that’s how I think Obama has hurt Ted Cruz more than anybody else,,
We’re not happy because we know Trump is not a conservative. Why in the hell would we be happy? If anything were in shocked disbelief at the number of FReepers who’ve lost their damned minds and supported a charlatan who has zero conservative history...just because he SAYS he will build a wall (he probably won’t) and he will deport them all (he definitely won’t)..and all this after spending a lifetime of doing THE EXACT OPPOSITE.
