The Supreme Court announced Tuesday that it will take up a case challenging the legality of President Barack Obama's executive actions aimed at granting quasi-legal status and work permits to up to five million people who entered the U.S. illegally as children or who have children who are American citizens.
The high court's widely-expected move gives Obama a chance to revive a key legacy item that has been in limbo for nearly a year, since a federal judge in Texas issued an order halting immigration moves the president announced just after the 2014 midterm elections.

This can’t be good. SCOTUS is a compromised institution. They are taking it because they want to revers the status quo, which finds the orders to be unconstitutional, and will substitute that the president has plenary authority to enforce immigration as he sees fit. If Congress has a problem with it, use the impeachment widget.
I would bet the mortgage it will Kennedy as the deciding vote.
White House staffers are currently downloading terabytes of NSA surveillance to use as blackmail.
The supremes will use some haughty language, act indignant, and the rule in favor of Obumagabe. Again.

Yet another opportunity to do the right thing, and it is not likely they will. Not sure how many more opportunities (chances) we as a nation will get before too much ‘fundamental transformation’ has been done.
I’m expecting the very worst.
I won’t be disappointed.
Thank God there are no Second Amendment cases under SCOTUS review right now.
The SCOTUS will be glad to write it into the Constitution for him. Just like gay “marriage” and Oh Sh**! Care.

I’m guessing Roberts is gonna come down on the side of “it’s a tax, but it really isnt’, but it is.”
I don’t expect much here, frankly.
Any executive action will be overturned by President Trump.
Fox says they’ll hear case in April, Court year over in June. So Obama, if he wins, will probably expand it in time for the election.

I'll take that bet. Benedict Roberts will side with obama. Kennedy's vote won't matter.
Separation of powers and remedy can be tricky. Whose job is it to check that the president "Take Care" and enforce Congressional Act. I think it is Congress, which is the most dysfunctional and worthless institution on the planet. If Congress thinks the president has violated his oath, impeach and remove him.
That gets the heat out of the court system, which is job number one.
Clearly it’s a tax.
