The White House announced Friday afternoon that it is launching an inter-agency task force to counter the sharp growth in violent extremism in America, according to an announcement. As senior members of the Obama administration's national security team meet with technology leaders in Silicon Valley, the White House’s National Security Council announced that the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security would team up to launch a Countering Violent Extremism Task Force, according to the announcement. The White House background document accompanying the announcement does contain any specific reference to the types of "violent extremism" the administration seeks to counter.
The State Department additionally is set to launch a Global Engagement center that will "to place an intensified focus on empowering and enabling the voices of international partners, governmental and non-governmental, and shift away from direct messaging," according to the White House. Without mentioning Muslim terrorism by name, the White House said that these efforts are being taken in the wake of terrorist attacks in France and San Bernardino California. The meetings with technology leaders in Silicon Valley are aimed at supplementing this effort, according to the White House. The government and private sector partnership "will allow us to place an intensified focus on empowering and enabling the voices of international partners, governmental and non-governmental, and shift away from direct messaging," the White House said.
"Today's developments reflect President Obama's commitment to take every possible action to confront and interdict terrorist activities wherever they occur, including online," it added. The announcement comes just a day after the Justice Department announced that it had busted a terror cell in the U.S. that was being operated by foreign refugees who had entered the U.S. legally...

Those departments are headed to paragraph three, “including online”, to find the ones they determine to be guilty of “violent extremism”.
What we do not know is their definition of “violent extremism”. After seeing Obama crying over gun violence while writing new rules to stop the sale of guns, I would say writings about guns on the internet will raise red flags of violent extremism. To accomplish their purpose, they are going to Silicon Valley to use computer smart people to search out those who indulge in “violent extremism” on line.
Silicon Valley searching the internet, will likely find Free Republic popping up along with other sites that feature independent citizens speaking their minds.
I think the internet police is starting.

As I read the opening I have to question the loose observation regarding the claim in the, ‘rise of violent extremism.’ Consider that phrase and the overwhelming response to what? Who, where are these violent extremists? What rise in American extremism? Seriously, what are they talking about?
We have had a slightly higher than normal number of ‘mass shootings.’. But the violence, mass violent extremism, has been amongst the people of color at the behest of a few democrats.
The rise in the murder and crime rates can be tied directly back to this administration’s immigration policy. We don’t need a massive government task force to figure this out.
So I ask again... what rise in violent extremism?
One major engineering firm that I worked for started showing big concerns about “violence in the workplace” around 1997. One item considered to be a red flag was any talk about guns. Any. This was Texas, and deer season was approaching!
Of course in Minnesota the mere mention of the word g-u-n would give some the vapors.
Does this mean if Free Republic is shut down our donations will be prorated and refunded?
In my career I was a psychological examiner and would go to a mental hospital to test patients. A woman patient told me the Mob was after her and that is why she took her two small children into the woods to live, to hide from the Mob.
On the surface, one would immediately think she had to be “crazy” to do such a thing. I, however, held her future in my hands and I had to be sure she was not telling the truth about the Mob. I probed her background, finding out what her past was to the extent I knew she had no connection to the Mob. My battery of mental tests backed up she had schizophrenia with delusions.
My point is, if someone thinks the Mob is after him/her, make sure that is not true before classifying someone “nuts” because he/she thinks that.

This task force is Obama’s response (his statement) to the cop that was shot in Philly - remember the Mayor who said it isn’t about Islam. This IS Obama’s response....
They are not talking about mass shootings that we think about - they have a different take. They plan to use technology like Google, facebook, etc (see on pdf below) to control the language [SILENCE] (ONLINE) as explained in video below.

Loretta Lynch announced at the United Nations that her office would be working in several American cities to form what she called the Strong Cities Network (SCN), a law enforcement initiative that would encompass the globe.
This amounts to nothing less than the overriding of American laws, up to and including the United States Constitution, in favor of United Nations laws that would henceforth be implemented in the United States itself; without any consultation of Congress at all.
