Donald Trump has a solution to the Miss Universe crown controversy: Share the wealth!
"What I would do is make them a co-winner, that would be very cool," the presidential candidate and former Miss Universe owner told Matt Lauer on the "Today" show Monday.
Pageant host Steve Harvey made an out-of-this-world blunder on Sunday night by mistakenly announcing Miss Colombia the winner -- before stripping her of the sash and tiara on live TV just minutes later to hand over the top prize to Miss Philippines, the true winner.
"What happened to the girl from Colombia is devastating," Trump told Lauer. "To give it to her for a couple of minutes and then take it away ... I would recommend that they go have a beautiful ceremony, which is good for the brand and good for Miss Universe, and do a co-winner. I think something like that could work."

I don’t think Harvey should continue as the host of future pageants because this was one of the most awful mistakes in TV history.
However, he should be praised for being a real man about the error. He was the one to announce it. He demonstrated how awful he felt about it just by his drooped posture when coming back on stage and apologizing.
He didn’t go full-blown homobama and blame it in Bush, Trump, or anyone else.
His announcement and apology had to be one of the toughest things I’ve seen anyone do in the entertainment industry.
If it were a true contest of skill or talent then, I completely agree there can be only 1 winner, but the reality is this is a “competition” that involves absolutely no skill whatsoever, and is completely subjective so being the winner, really means nothing significant because you didn’t beat anyone with any skill or talent, but just better genetics and/or plastic surgeon, or sleeping with a judge etc...
So, being the “winner” may be financially beneficial for the person who gets it, it doesn’t at the end of the day mean jack.... since there is no talent or skill involved in determining the winner.
Do you even remember the last thing about which you were critical of Mr. Trump?
You can’t even bring yourself to critique his views on Kelo, which are clearly the antithesis of conservative and constitutional.

My husband is arguing with me that Miss Columbia will probably make out pretty good from this. She’ll probably have oodles of interviews and public appearances, maybe a few endorsements. Who knows? He may be right. I still say that being Miss Universe would have been better.
The actual card is shown on post 64. I don’t know how he misread it. He should be dismissed from the pageant.

I AGREE with your solution of dual crowns for this year.
Imagine some of these same clowns saying she should just "suck it up".. imagine them having won and been awarded $10 million dollars in a lottery and then two minutes later they were told they didn't win!
They'd "$hit a show" and throw a fit on the way to get a lawyer.
