Donald Trump has a solution to the Miss Universe crown controversy: Share the wealth!
"What I would do is make them a co-winner, that would be very cool," the presidential candidate and former Miss Universe owner told Matt Lauer on the "Today" show Monday.
Pageant host Steve Harvey made an out-of-this-world blunder on Sunday night by mistakenly announcing Miss Colombia the winner -- before stripping her of the sash and tiara on live TV just minutes later to hand over the top prize to Miss Philippines, the true winner.
"What happened to the girl from Colombia is devastating," Trump told Lauer. "To give it to her for a couple of minutes and then take it away ... I would recommend that they go have a beautiful ceremony, which is good for the brand and good for Miss Universe, and do a co-winner. I think something like that could work."

I think he was supposed to announce the name of the FIRST RUNNER UP ( that’s how the past hosts of Miss Universe traditionally do it ). Instead, he got confused as to what he was supposed to say.
I also note that they mis-spelled “ELIMINATION”.
This particular show is one comedy of errors.

I freely admit I am for Trump for the presidency. However I am honestly for Trump because I agree so much with the things he says, and I am in complete agreement with him on this. He knows the pageant, and I think he understands women pretty well, and frankly I agree completely.
That said, I don’t always agree with Trump. In fact if Palin would have run this time, I would have been for Palin. 100%.
I am sort of glad she did not run now, because I do not believe she would be showing the sort of complete dominance of the GOP and the media which Trump so quickly seized in this race.
But I would have supported her 100%, completely, over Trump. No question.
That said, he’s right. About everything. (with the possible exception of the question of eminent domain - but that is another subject)
Trump gets what is right, and is on the right side of virtually every single issue.
He’s just plain right.
And he’s right about this mess. Awarding Miss Columbia in addition to Miss Philippines is a very good idea.
Sure I think Miss Columbia should graciously turn it down, but that would be the ultimate solution in my mind.
I love that he said it wouldn’t have happened if he still owned it. That’s classic Trump!

I do find revealing the pettiness of those affected with TDS, in how quickly they become unhinged over the slightest thing Mr. Trump utters ... Even so much as to use this unfortunate situation to launch yet another attack on his candidacy. Their desperation is palpable, and rather comical to witness.

Exactly. Who here would even care about Miss Universe if it wasn't this error? Who could name a winner from the past 25 years? Who is the most famous Miss America winner from the past 40 years? Vanessa Williams who lost her title due to nude pictures.

As for Harvey.....he is finished, he could have handled it with dignity and compassion....as Obama would do...he did not....but, The Miss Universe managment is as much to blame as Harvey is, for not stepping in immediately and handling this terrible mistake properly!!! The pain to each young lady as they were onstage, was uncalled for. Harvey has no class, whatsoever!!! He just another Obamabot that did not fall far from the Obama tree!!! Girls....we Americans love you both, and...you are both “Universe” winners!!!
