Will the GOP Mount a Third-Party Challenge to Trump?

Donald Trump may have eased some Republican fears Tuesday night when he declared his intention to stay inside the party. But if their angst has been temporarily eased at the prospect of what he would do if he loses, they still face a far more troubling, and increasingly plausible, question.
What happens to the party if he wins?

The Uniparty must be preserved at all costs. They'd be happy to stay the (dis)loyal opposition in a Clinton administration.

Sounds like Trump is getting ready to do a Yuge landslide and people are not only very worried, but very very scared!!!

Why not? The cheering we heard when Trump threatened to go 3rd party was welcomed here so why not have another candidate run. Fair is fair. And if Trump was so comfortable winning going 3rd party, he should win on the GOP ticket while Cruz runs third party. I actually hope it happens. I am sick of only two choices. I’d love a Trump - Cruz - Clinton - Sanders choices. Wouldn’t that be awesome?

How does the party run a third party candidate — once it’s members have nominated Trump?
It wouldn’t be the GOP doing it — it would have to be some splinter group of politicians and donors.
I wonder what they would call themselves?

This has to be ignorant post of the year.
All the GOPe has to do to ‘beat’ Trump is keep their nose clean.
Trump is already beaten by the numbers, no matter how hard the MSM tries to elevate him.

Highly unlikely Cruz would go 3rd party against Trump. In fact, I would totally rule out that scenario. Cruz does have a good chance of being Trump’s running mate though.
Don’t know about the Dem side, but the more likely GOP 3rd party scenario against Trump is some 3rd rate loser like Grahamnesty.
