I stand corrected. What was the split in this jury? I would be surprised if there were more than one or two holdouts opposing acquittal.

Let’s hope they don’t ruin Christmas for the good citizens of Baltimore and surrounding area.

Let's hope they do. Let's hope the full weight of Liberalism is heaped upon those who have supported it for all these years. Maybe lessons learned locally can save us nationally.

The police ought to arm themselves with books, to be used for mob dispersal.

i think they tried Gotti Jr. four times? at least 3.

My friend defended him. He goes to his restaurant sometimes

My friends quit law and went into the restaurant business.

He said the state has so many resources, it’s insane.

it’s a cultural thing. Usually is.

You dont just wake up to it one day.

That’s why countries with no history of it have alot of trouble.

Eastern European countries, some of them handled it well. Like Poland

i haven’t followed. Was he black?

a lot of white cops have been found not guilty in cases where a suspect end up dead.

Because usually the evidence is overwhelming in their favor.

Jurors break the silence all the time. No big deal if they get a couple of guard dogs and lock and load.

A few more details:

http://www.ksbw.com/national-news/freddie-gray-case-jurors-in-deadlock-told-to-keep-at-it/36986936

Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby was in court when the mistrial was declared and looked visibly upset. Prosecutors appeared exasperated.

“The hung jury is, I think, a major setback for the state,” said Andrew Alperstein, a Baltimore defense attorney and former prosecutor. But it’s no surprise the jury wasn’t able to reach a verdict, he said.

“The issues in this case were confusing,” he said, “and the evidence against this particular officer was unique, and it was different than the other defendants.”

CNN legal analyst Paul Callan said it was surprising that prosecutors decided to start with Porter’s case.

“I don’t think you want to start out with a problem case, and this case looks to be a very weak case,” he said, “and obviously, if there’s a hung jury, it was presented in a very weak way.”

Judge must have gagged them. Usually, they talk as soon as they get out of the courtroom. It will leak, may take a little bit.
