Even as others in the media – including liberal MSNBC host Chris Hayes – decried President Obama for telling a Paris-based climate-change audience mass shootings only happen in America, one Fox News talking head came out in support of that White House mantra, saying only national television, post-San Bernardino massacre: this is unique to our country.

Sheppard Smith said, of the mass shooting that left 14 dead and 17 injured, Obama was quite right in calling for gun control.

I made the mistake of listening to Shepard Smith on the night of the Paris attacks and it was this unbelievable stream of absolute, blithering drama-queen idiocy. It was truly embarrassing. It was like he thought he was God, telling what it all meant.
