The Club for Growth thought it had dented Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trumpâs chances in Iowa with ads accusing him of being a false conservative, but the billionaire businessman has surged back to the lead in polls, showing a staying power thatâs confounded pundits and fellow candidates.
The Clubâs battle with Mr. Trump is shaping up as an early test of his campaign with little more than two months to go before Iowa holds its first-in-the-nation caucuses.

That too.
“At Thanksgiving dinner, we talked some politics. Usually a bad idea. But everyone, independent, dem, republican, conservative..there was at least one of each, plans on voting for Trump.”
When I read your account, it made me think of something, I believe, that General Patton used to say. “When everyone is thinking the same way, then somebody is not thinking.”
Lol. Sounds like Dems may be breaking out of their ‘vote only for the “D” candidate’ mold!! Good deal.
Woo hoo!! Go Trump! Make America great, again ;-)
I expect he will.
For a long time there were FR complaints that Trump wasn’t going to shrink government.
Obviously that’s changed.
The handouts to the undeserving business will be addressed in time too.
Trump is now in full battle gear and headed on a take no prisoner war path. He gets stronger by the day!!!!

Its smart politics.
Trump talks of preserving third rail Social Security and Medicare.
Middle class entitlements are a fact of life.
Mostly arguing about the best scene
My fav was when he exited the La Raza guy ...Ramos the diminutive.
Very nice video...Thanks!
“But everyone, independent, dem, republican, conservative..there was at least one of each, plans on voting for Trump.”
You have a variety in your family! But if they’re all for Trump, that shows he has cross-over appeal.
Why did the dem not want Hillary or Bernie?
I have been known to slip a little magic here and there, but not today, to many kiddies around...lol... Thank you...
“The thing about Trump is I get the feeling he actually likes us Americans - at least most of us, the ones who carry the load.
Obama, Hillary, etc just figure weâre idiots to be manipulated, used, tax paying units.”
If Trump wins, I may get the motivation to suspend going Galt and work full-time again.
If Jeb Bush drops out and endorses Trump, that may dismantle Trump. And if Kasich drops out and endorses Trump, then the Donald is a goner for sure.
At your family Thanksgivings, were the more liberal of your family members that are for Trump excited about Romney last time (vs just holding their noses) or Obama last time?
I think Trump has the little old lady contingent sewed up as well. I have probably 8 or 9 friends in their 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s that are giddy about Trump. I haven’t seen them this enthused about a candidate... well, ever!
Without Trump, northeast, NH and PA possible. With Trump, everything except VT possible
The Northeast is tough, but NH is do-able, and NJ, NY and CT become visible on the horizon. No (R)epublicrat (R)ino would bother, but Trump has appeal to some (D) voters in New York where we have had him in our lives since the beginning. And I *do* have *lots* of typically (D) voters paying him lip service. It is extraordinary.
But Trump can *definitely* win the Rust/Coal belt on two issues alone - Coal and Jobs. What could Hillary possible say to counter coal? She's got no breathing room at all.
This will be one of the defining issues for Trump. He could go either way on that. Here's to hoping that he will recognize Coal as vital to energy generation and not being afraid to hammer the (D)ummycrats mercilessly primarily in PA and OH, and also IN and MI and WI and VA and NC. All purple states, only two of which Romney collected but none that McCain did.
50 state strategy. Bring it. P
They are a fact of life because the middle class has been robbed forever to pay for them. They are mad as hell and want some pay back!
Variety in my family? If you’re not conservative keep your mouth shut in my family!!!
This was sister in law. Her mother is liberal. Says hillary wont change anything, She’s wrong. She would make things much worse.
Bernie’s just insane.
I have heard that some big northeast states are in play if Trump is the nomination. That is unimaginable. I doubt we’ll ever see another Reagan-type landslide in my lifetime, but a Trump victory may be more than just barely winning

I hope you’re right. I don’t just want to see Hellary defeated, I want to see her totally smashed (like a bug) and humiliated.
MY son in laws parents are a couple of years older than I am, and are Mormoms, friends about 55-65 years old, mostly Catholic...had a great time...all felt Trump is the only one that can get the country back again...even tho Mormons don’t like ‘colorful’ talk, they don’t like P.C. either...and voted for Romney, I didn’t, I wrote my own name in..and two friends stayed home...
Nothing negative about Trump all very positive...it was a great discussion...and we are all Republicans...I just couldn’t go with Romney...family is all on board...my children are Mormons, all grand kids are catholic as I am, my late husband was Mormon but very inactive...
