Carson continued, “When you ask the evolutionists about that, they say, ‘Uh, I don’t know where they are, they’re somewhere, they are, we just haven’t found them yet.’ That’s a pretty lame excuse, to be honest with you.â€
Earlier in his remarks, Dr. Carson said, “Many people don’t know this but Charles Darwin actually started out in the seminary to become a man of the cloth. He had some experiences with God that didn’t go his way, like his 10-year-old daughter who died of pneumonia despite his pleas.â€

he’s correct. he’s simply pointing out that the fossil record merely proves in-species variation, and that is, by definition, NOT evolution.

Darwin and his finch beaks were examples of in species variation, and not evolution.
In fact, it’s ironic that “The Origin of Species” utterly failed to address the origin of a single species.

When did Carson say this? He’s right of course. It’s hard to find actual transitional forms between species. But, you want to stay far away from this type of topic.

What they’re doing is digging up statements made by Carson before he was ever even interested in running. This one for example is from 2011. There are probably more on the way. They are finding statements that don’t agree with the liberal orthodoxy and are trying to embarrass him. Hopefully, Carson will defend what he said here, as he did the Islam thing. nevertheless, I still don’t support Carson as a candidate due to his poor stance on immigration. But I respect him as a person.
