In his speech at the 122nd International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference in Chicago on Tuesday, President Obama pleaded with the American people not to believe that he is out to take their guns away. Obama called it a sad irony that after a shooting happens the purchase of guns and ammunition go up.

Of course we don’t think you want EVERYONES guns. Just the hoi poloi. Tom Cruise or Al Sharpton, they need guns. So does anybody with political or media power. It is just those that cling to Constitution, Religion and guns. We will pry those out of their fingers and substitute a Federal police force.
