LAS VEGAS (October 9, 2015) — Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Thursday that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl should have been executed for leaving his post in Afghanistan.
"We're tired of Sgt. Bergdahl, who's a traitor, a no-good traitor, who should have been executed," Trump said to cheers at a rowdy rally inside a packed Las Vegas theater at the casino-hotel Treasure Island.

I cringed when I heard Trump say that, but then a few sentences later he said back in the day they shot them. I think in his excitement, he got mixed up. But, yeah, they used to shoot traitors.
Right-He shuld have been executed, if NOT by the Taliban... then certainly by US!!

For this reason alone -the fact that he said this out loud- I will vote for him.
First, he gets all his pay and if he is convicted, Obama will overturn it...AND set him free to retun to his Muzzie dad and the chick that Obama is dying to grab again...Bergdahl's mother. And they will once again be guests at the Whitehouse where Berghdahl wiil receive some medal for valor.

Some soldiers say Bergdahl didn’t just desert, he deliberately left his unit with the goal of joining the Taliban.
I’ve heard soldiers claim that Bergdahl gave the Taliban detailed information concerning American patrols and their techniques. Wasn’t there a letter where Bergdahl slandered his superiors and express his hatred of the war and the military?
If this is true, then Bergdahl committed treason and should face the firing squad.
A number of soldiers were killed while searching for Bergdahl; God knows how many died because of the information Bergdahl gave the enemy.

I always appreciated how his candidacy effected the establishment but I agree it gets more appealing by the day.

That is why Donald Trump is in the lead. He takes the untouchable sacred cows and just grinds them up for burgers.
I said that back when the Bergdahl thing started and a lib laughed at me. If I’m not mistaken, the Uniform Code of Military Justice states that desertion in a time of war is punishable by execution. Since we lost so many soldiers trying to find this asshole, I would say it’s a no-brainer.

A brash Statement indeed. He will get lots of flack for it. But I believe that most Americans would agree with Trump on this.
Bergdahl is a traitor. It is really a very simple fact.
